Chapter 36 - 36

On a late Saturday night at a Club:

"You again!" The guard exclaimed at Jihoon, "Don't worry buddy, I won't stay for long."

Jihoon told him, "A Highschooler like you shouldn't be in a place like this, especially you. You are part of the multi billion dollar family the Kim family, why would want to ruin your families reputation." The guard stated.

"Don't worry buddy, my family has more things to worry about than me being at a club." He said as he entered the club.

As he entered the bar he quickly headed to the bartender making drinks.

"Hi, sugar plum." He teased the bartender, "I told you not to follow me when I'm working!" The guy hissed without paying attention to him, "Why not, I just wanted to see my wonderful Minji" he replied he replied smiling, Minji rolled his eyes and looked at Jihoon.

"I dont know what you don't understand when I tell you we could only meet outside of school." He complained

"this is out of school what are you takling about?" Jihoon asked sarcastically? "I didn't mean you could also meet me at my work!" Minji hissed at him.

"Look here sweet heart, you don't call the shots. there's also no need to be so hot tempered." Jihoon whispered In his ears with a serious tone, "So what don't you make me a friendly drink." He smiled

Minji sighed, unable to resist Jihoon's persistent charm. Despite his initial annoyance, there was an undeniable attraction between them that he couldn't ignore. He couldn't help but smile as he realized that, deep down, he was glad Jihoon had shown up at the club.

"Fine, since you're here, I'll make you a special drink," Minji relented, a hint of amusement in his voice. He began preparing a cocktail, his hands moving skillfully and effortlessly as he mixed the ingredients. The atmosphere in the club seemed to fade away as Minji focused on his craft, completely engrossed in the art of bartending.

Jihoon leaned against the counter, observing Minji's every move. His gaze lingered on the bartender's graceful hands, admiring their dexterity. He had always been captivated by Minji's talent, whether it was his artistic abilities or his dedication to his studies. But seeing him behind the bar, in his element, added a new layer of fascination.

As Minji placed the finished drink in front of Jihoon, their eyes met, and a subtle understanding passed between them. It was more than just a drink—they were sharing a moment, a connection that went beyond words. Jihoon reached out to take the glass, his fingers brushing against Minji's ever so slightly, sending a shiver down his spine.

"Thank you, Minji," Jihoon said sincerely, his voice filled with genuine appreciation. "You truly know how to make an ordinary night extraordinary."

Jihoon took a sip of his drink, savoring the flavors dancing on his tongue. He leaned closer to Minji, his voice low and sincere, "Are you trying to come over to my place after this?" He asked,

"no" He replied.

"come on, you know you do."

"We can have a little bit of fun tonight."

Jihoon smirked, "after what you did last week, I don't think it's safe to stay with you tonight." He replied, "The only important thing is that you enjoyed it." Ji-Hoon chuckled.

Minji couldn't help but roll his eyes at Jihoon's cheeky persistence. "Okay fine, just for tonight."

Jihoon leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a seductive whisper, "great, then I'll wait until you're shift is over."

Jihoon sighed shaking his head as he continued working.

—————————

as the door opens aggressively he pushed me against the wall and kissed me passionately. He ran his fingers through my hair and stroked me so gently but yet kissing me so aggressively.

As Jihoon's lips met mine with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine, I couldn't help but lose myself in the moment. His kiss was a fiery blend of passion and desire, a stark contrast to the cool exterior I usually maintained.

His hands tangled in my hair, and his fingers traced a delicate path along my skin, igniting a trail of sensation that left me breathless. There was something undeniably magnetic about Jihoon, an allure that drew me closer even when I knew I should resist.

Our lips parted only briefly, just long enough for Jihoon to whisper against my ear, his voice husky with desire, "You drive me crazy, Minji."

I struggled to find my voice as his kisses continued to consume me, each one more fervent than the last. It was as though the world around us had faded away, leaving only the two of us locked in this passionate embrace.

As our connection deepened, I couldn't help but give in to the intoxicating pull Jihoon had on me.

————————

Here I was again lying in the same bed with the guy that I promised myself to never see again. I promise myself but He comes back and I give in to his charms. I didn't want to fall for him because of his behavior but here I am spending the night in his luxury apartment constantly. No denying that I like him but, with his status, it's hard for me to be with him.

"Why are you awake so early?" He whispered as he kissed my neck. I enjoy every second I spend with him, but I mostly enjoy laying in bed with him like this. "Stop kissing me there, you're going to leave a mark." I softly groaned. "Go back to sleep." He said kissing my neck and pulling me closer into a tight embrace. "Nhg!" I moaned as he continued kissing every inch of my neck and leaving marks everywhere.

"Come on Jihoon, I have to go." I said trying to escape his kisses, "No, stay with me today." He whispered.

His lips against my neck were too distracting. Each kiss sent a wave of heat through me, and no matter how much I tried to resist, I couldn't help but get lost in the moment. "Jihoon..." I whispered, trying to sound firm, but my resolve was slipping fast. "You're going to make me late."

He pulled me even closer, his breath warm against my skin as he mumbled, "So? Stay with me. Skip today."

My heart pounded against my chest. This wasn't supposed to happen. I told myself over and over not to let him get too close, but here we were, tangled in each other, his hands on my waist, his lips marking me like I belonged to him.

"You're making it really hard to say no, you know that?" I muttered, trying not to give in too easily. But deep down, I knew he had already won. His hold on me was stronger than I wanted to admit.

"That's the point," Jihoon murmured, his voice low and teasing as his kisses trailed up to my jawline. "Just stay here. Forget everything else. Just you and me today."

I felt my walls crumbling, the ones I had built up so carefully to protect myself. Every touch, every whisper, made it harder to remember why I was supposed to be cautious.

Before I could say another word, Jihoon rolled me over gently, hovering above me with that playful, yet intense look in his eyes.

"See?" he whispered, brushing a strand of hair away from my face. "You're exactly where you're meant to be."

I should've protested, should've said something to pull myself out of this moment, but instead, I leaned up, closing the distance between us as I whispered, "Fine... but just this once."

His smirk grew wider, and I knew I had just fallen deeper into something I wasn't sure I could get out of.

————————-

Later that same morning as we got out of bed and I was making something in the kitchen, I could hear Jihoon on the phone with his mom. She didn't really sound happy, and he sounded like it was a normal day in his book.

"This is ridiculous Jihoon, how many times did I tell that free up your schedule for today because you're cousins birthday is today?!" His mom exclaimed over the phone.

"Come on ma, do I have to go to every family event?" He replied, "plus I don't like cousin Hyun, his a total jerk and I don't get along with him." He added.

"I don't care whether you like him or not, his family and you're going!" She snapped.

"That's enough, we're going to deal with this later." A man's voice said over the phone, and the call ended. "Ugh, I'm sick and tired of this family stuff." He groaned as he slipped his phone into his pocket.

"I don't think you should upset your parents like that, you'll be in big trouble." I told him, "It's no big deal, it's not like this is anything new." He remarked.

"Are you always like this?" I asked, "like what?"

"Rebellious." I replied.

"I'm not rebellious, I'm just sick and tired of being around people that don't give a fuck about each other." He replied. "They claim family everything but they are the same people that wish on each others down fall, everyone is so obsessed with wealth that If you're richer than everyone else you're going to be hated on." He added.

"And it's always my family, so I don't understand why they go to these family gatherings."

"Well they are family at the end of the day." I said.

"Yeah no, let's end this conversation here." He said, "what are you making?" He asked as he hugged me from behind.

I could feel Jihoon's arms tighten around me as he rested his chin on my shoulder, his warm breath against my neck. The tension from the phone call still lingered in the air, but his attempt to change the subject was clear.

"Just some scrambled eggs and toast," I replied, trying to keep the conversation light. "Nothing fancy."

He hummed, squeezing me gently. "Sounds perfect."

There was something about the way he switched moods so easily—one minute, he was arguing with his mom about family obligations, the next, he was back to his usual self, carefree and playful. It was like he had a switch inside him that could shut out all the bad feelings whenever he wanted. I couldn't help but envy that sometimes.

"Do you ever think it'll change?" I asked softly, stirring the eggs in the pan.

"What?" Jihoon mumbled, sounding like he wasn't too interested in getting back into the heavy stuff.

"Us." I said nervously.

"What do you mean by that?" He asked.

I felt my stomach twist as I stirred the eggs a little too aggressively, trying to gather my thoughts. Jihoon leaned against the counter, his carefree expression faltering slightly as he waited for me to explain.

"I mean… what are we, really?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "One minute, we're close, and the next, it feels like there's this wall between us. Do you ever wonder if we'll stop going back and forth like this?"

A smile flashed on his lips, he cupped my face and kissed me. "Didn't I tell you that I'll make you mine, I'm just waiting for the perfect timing. A timing when we are both ready."

"But I'm ready." I told him.

"Then just wait a little longer for me," he smiled.

I looked into his eyes, searching for any hesitation, but all I saw was that familiar confidence, the one that made me want to believe in him every time. It frustrated me how easily he could make me feel both reassured and uncertain at the same time.

"Jihoon…" I whispered, my voice barely steady. "What if waiting isn't enough? What if this perfect timing never comes?"

He pressed his forehead against mine, closing his eyes for a moment. "It will, I promise." His tone was gentle but firm, like he believed it with every part of him. "I just need to clear up the mess in my head first."

I sighed softly, resting my hands on his chest. "I feel like I've been waiting forever already."

"I know," he murmured, his hand sliding to the small of my back. "But I'm getting there. I'm trying to be better, for you."

I leaned into him, letting the warmth of his embrace sink in. Part of me wanted to push him further, to ask him for more clarity, but another part of me was scared. Scared of losing what we had by pressing too hard, too fast.

"Okay," I finally said, my voice barely a whisper. "I'll wait a little longer."

Jihoon kissed my forehead softly, his lips lingering as if sealing a promise. "Thank you," he whispered. "I won't let you down."

But as comforting as his words were, the lingering doubt in my heart reminded me that this was another chance, another test of my patience. And I could only hope that this time, Jihoon was truly ready to make things right.
