With the conversation reaching its natural conclusion, it was time for Luke and Ilyrana to take their leave. Emperor Ares, seated beside Empress Adamantia, gave a small nod before speaking.

Luke simply nodded.
"Sounds good to me."
"You're an interesting man, Luke. We'll see if your gift is as remarkable as you are," Empress Adamantia, ever composed, offered a soft smile.
With that, Luke and Ilyrana turned and made their way back across the grand chamber. Near the entrance, where he had remained stationed like an idle sentry, Commander Alec immediately straightened upon seeing them approach. He had been quiet all this time, hands loosely folded behind his back, waiting with the patience of a trained soldier.

Luke gave an exaggerated stretch.
