"Hmm?" she tilted her head to see Max was still sitting there. How much time had passed?
She looked around but the nurse was not there anymore. "Why are you still here?" looking at his confused face, he sighed. He ran a hand in his hair looking exhausted.
"I have recently bought a house, but I do not have time to take care of it. I am looking for someone who could keep it clean and cook for me. Do you know how to clean and cook?" he asked so sincerely that nat blinked and frowned.
"Are they not paying for my bills?" she furrowed her brows and shifted on the bed to find her phone.
"Do not move!" He held her at her place by her shoulders. "She had just applied meds, let them dry before shuffling so much." Nat paused but still stared at him in confusion.
"I have some savings."
"It is not about your bills." Was he thinking so much? Why did he ask her in the first place? Now it was his turn to feel lost.
