Sylas blinked, his vision still not quite clear. His ears didn't seem to be working well either, but the voice seemed to have spoken directly into his mind. It was impossible for him not to hear it.
"Gogo? Your name is Gogo?" Sylas asked.
The Basilisk King tilted its head as though it were trying to recall something, and then Sylas could feel that it was wondering if it had pronounced it correctly. The way Sylas said it didn't sound the same as it sounded in his mind, but he didn't think he was stupid… so the mistake must be his own.
Feeling the complex thoughts of the Basilisk King for the first time, Sylas was taken aback that it could even have such intricate thoughts. He was even more taken aback by the fact that it had such a deep, unfathomable respect for him.
It was as though Sylas could do no wrong. If he was angry, then it must be the Basilisk King's fault.
