Pov Dia,
Experiment 626, Darkness.
A lifeform artificially created with a talent that can reach the power of a Super Devil.
Unfortunately, the person they took DNA samples from was too weak.
Not the donor herself, Tearju Lunatic — a blonde-haired woman who's a little too clumsy to be useful in combat but very intelligent. Thanks to her, their research progressed well. However, Tearju was only working on theory and did so because they had "promised" to fund her research on quantum power.
When she found out what they were doing, she tried to run away but was caught. Since her DNA sample was crucial, she's still alive with just enough food to survive.
Experiment 626 can use her hair as a weapon, sharp enough to act like a sword.
She has a "Darkness" program that unleashes her full destructive potential. Unfortunately, she only reaches the level of an Ultimate Rank Devil.
The experiment is a failure because, in addition to her low power level, she has too much humanity in her. As a result, they were going to delete her and start the experiment again.
This is all that was noted in the experimental book; the next entry would probably have been made today if Kuroka had not intervened.
Dia: "Trying to find a woman who must surely be captive is an order."
While Harley and the others were searching, I tried to find out if there was a way to wake up Experiment 626.
Dia: "Seriously, they can't just make a 'wake up experiment' button? Why do they have to complicate everything?"
Finally, I managed to drain the liquid from the tube before it opened.
She looked like a little girl who seemed to be the same age as Shirone.
I hesitated between killing her or not, but I finally gave up because she is innocent, and the feeling I had showed that she is someone fully alive.
Lola: "Dia-sama, we found her."
I teleported with the experiment, Kuroka, and Shirone, leaving Naberius' corpse to rot there.
Once we arrived, I found a very secure door.
Dia: "Thank you, Lola. Now take anything that can be used against them."
Lola: "Your wishes are my command."
And she went off to do her work with someone else.
I used my power to destroy the door that was blocking my way, and I could see that the room was completely dark.
Tearju: "What's going on? Why is it so bright? Do I see the celestial light?"
Dia: "Unfortunately, no. We came to free you and introduce you to your new daughter."
Tearju: "But I have no daughter."
She seemed confused, which was understandable.
Dia: "Those bastards from Naberius used your blood to create life and attempt to make a super-rank devil. So, by convention, she is flesh of your flesh and therefore your daughter — unless you'd prefer to consider her your sister."
She seemed hesitant about how to treat her, but that wasn't the most important thing for now. She needed to find a name because calling her by her code name or experiment number would only worsen the situation.
Tearju: "Why not call her Yami? It sounds like 'Darkness' in another language, and besides, it's a fairly common name, I think."
Yami as a name seemed to fit, so I didn't argue much — though Tearju clearly had a terrible sense of naming.
Shion: "Dia-sama, all the evidence has been collected."
Lola: "The mission you assigned me is complete."
Harley: "There's nothing left as evidence in this building or the main house."
Dia: "Perfect."
Dia: "To the attention of the Underworld of the Devils: I, Dia Eucus, declare the extinction and extermination of the entire pilgrim family Naberius. The reasons will be provided to the Four Satans and the heads of families. A meeting will be held tomorrow to decide who will inherit the lands of Naberius. There will be no possible objections, and the discussion starts now."
I teleported us far enough away — but not too far — to witness a massive PDD sphere streaking through the sky like a meteorite, crashing directly onto the Naberius complex without touching any neighboring cities.
