Chapter 193 - Stubborn Obito

The mighty toad, Gamabunta, collapsed without even kicking up much dust, lying lifelessly on the ground.

Fuma patted Shikuro on the shoulder, satisfied, and praised without hesitation, "Excellent response and speed. Pass a message to Shiyama for me—he did a great job."

"Lift the alert. This toad is Jiraiya's summon; it was just an accident."

As he spoke, Fuma scanned the security force members who had arrived for backup. Seeing them fully armed and ready, he raised a thumbs-up toward them and thought to himself:

'Only with a Uchiha and a security force like this does it start to resemble what I envisioned. In the original timeline, Itachi and Obito wiped out the entire Uchiha clan without a scratch—that clan was already as good as dead...'

However, Shikuro wasn't paying attention to Fuma's words. Instead, he turned his head in shock, staring at Fuma's broad hand.

Fuma had moved too fast, and Shikuro hadn't had time to warn him—his body was untouchable!

As a user of nano-scale poisonous insects, Shikuro's body was completely infused with venomous parasites when in combat mode.

He was, in every sense, a walking poison. His very presence countered all taijutsu users—after all, if they couldn't even touch him, then their skills were rendered useless.

Yet the nano-scale insects he prided himself on had retreated in fear upon contact with Fuma, fleeing deep into their nest within his abdomen as if encountering a natural enemy.

"Fuma-taichou… you…" Shikoku opened his mouth, struggling to find the right words.

He couldn't possibly ask, 'Why are you still fine after touching me?'—that would be absurdly arrogant.

"Ah… it's nothing. My body's pretty tough." Fuma waved his hand dismissively, though a faint trace of crimson could be seen on his large palm.

Minato, watching from the side, looked at that crimson mark with envy and shook his head in resignation. "So unfair…"

He had long wanted to learn this ability of Fuma's and had pestered him more than once to teach him.

Fuma hadn't kept it a secret either. He had given Minato a method—one that Minato simply couldn't accomplish.

'Eat two Tailed Beasts, and you'll naturally learn it.'

For someone like Minato, whose biggest meal at most consisted of a dozen bowls of rice, digesting an entire Tailed Beast was simply impossible.

"Is this… the true strength of the security force?" Asuma muttered to himself in awe, staring at the Uchiha district, now fully surrounded by the security force.

"Those guys who usually act so lazy… reacted this quickly? There's no way my father's ANBU can compare to this…"

What Asuma didn't realize was that the security force stationed within Konoha was so well-manned that they often seemed idle.

The skies above and the depths below were under constant surveillance. The village was protected by top-tier sensory techniques from Kushina and had Minato as an emergency backup.

There was no need for them to be overly on edge every day.

Kakashi, on the other hand, remained silent, carefully analyzing the security force's battlefield positioning. Yet, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't find any openings for an escape.

'So this is what Father meant when he said: A true expert hides their power."

Kakashi had once asked his father how he should view the Uchiha.

His father had given a simple response, "That's not something you can 'view.' Just focus on your studies at the Academy—you're still just a child."

.......

At this moment, both the sky and the ground were sealed off completely.

Above, hundreds of Uchiha warriors stood in formation, their Sharingan glowing crimson, their ninja pouches full, and cruel grins on their faces as they stared at Gamabunta.

Below, swarms of insects covered the earth. Ordinary kikaichū buzzed as they clustered together in low flight, while larger parasites, the size of human heads, clung to Gamabunta's body.

Though they had stopped gnawing, they still firmly pinned him to the ground.

"Lift the alert."

Upon receiving Fuma's signal, Shikuro gestured for the security force to withdraw.

Moments later, the force that had encircled the training field through land, sea, and air receded like a tide, vanishing in an instant.

Had Gamabunta not still been lying there, breathing heavily, Kakashi and the others might have thought they had just imagined the entire thing.

"Don't leave just yet—the fight isn't over."

Minato suddenly appeared beside Gamabunta, swiftly forming seals before slamming his hand onto the toad's body.

"Ninja Art: Summoning Seal!"

A dense array of sealing scripts spread across Gamabunta's skin, severing his connection to Mount Myoboku and preventing him from escaping via the Reverse Summoning Jutsu.

"Hm… looking at it now, this sealing technique turned out pretty decent," Minato said happily after confirming the seal had taken effect.

"It's still incomplete, but for troublesome summons like this, it should be sufficient."

At the base of this seal, barely visible, was a transparent marking—Minato's Flying Thunder God Formula!

"You bastard!" Gamabunta roared, feeling the stagnation within his body.

Ever since he had started fighting, the only time he had suffered such humiliation was two hundred years ago—against Satori.

"…"

Gamabunta was about to go berserk, but the moment his large, ugly eyes swept over Fuma, he froze. 'That guy… the aura coming off him—something's not right!'

'...This feeling… this is the Box of Ultimate Bliss… this is Satori!'

In that instant, Gamabunta forgot the pain of having his skin torn open by the giant parasites. He forgot the shame of being paralyzed by genjutsu and falling helplessly. His gaze was locked onto Fuma.

Gamabunta had a deep fear of Satori.

In the original timeline, he was a toad who dared to clash head-on with the One-Tailed Shukaku.

But when he faced Satori, he had abandoned Naruto and fled in panic—proof of just how deeply Satori had traumatized him.

'Has this guy… been possessed by Satori?!'

'That would be too dangerous… no, wait. Someone possessed by Satori wouldn't remain this calm. But that aura—I can't be mistaken!'

Gamabunta fell silent, activating a secret technique he had learned in Mount Myoboku, attempting to analyze the aura coming from Fuma.

Fuma, ignoring Gamabunta's wary gaze, turned to Jiraiya with a grin, "Our security force's response time isn't too bad, huh?"

Jiraiya's expression was dark. Clenching his teeth, he muttered, "It's… impressive."

He held deep affection for Mount Myoboku—especially for Gamabunta, who had been his closest battle companion for years. To him, Gamabunta was not just a summon but a true friend.

However, he had brought this enormous creature into Konoha without permission, which was a reckless move.

The security force's duty was to maintain order in the village and eliminate any threats. Even if they had killed Gamabunta, Jiraiya would have had no right to protest.
