Dawn was breaking.
The utterly chaotic city of Baldet was still shrouded in darkness.
However, in this city where the gap between rich and poor is immense and shantytowns abound, many had already risen early.
In the west of the city lay a hollow, home to Baldet's garbage landfill.
Around four o'clock each morning, those comfortable and upscale rich neighborhoods would start their cleaning early, so their owners could have a fresh start to their day.
The waste from hotels, clubs, villas, and the like in these affluent areas would all be transported to the landfill.
Many poor people would arrive early, waiting for the garbage trucks to dump their loads.
Of the leftover food, the most popular was naturally all kinds of meat.
Chicken, pork, duck... any meat was welcomed.
Numerous women and children would sift through the mountains of trash, sorting out the meat and vegetables to take home, rinse with water, boil in hot water, and thus make the best meat dish for the poor.
