Aren's POV
I was in a room with Frannie and Adrian, alongside Cassius. The room was big and had a lot of nice furniture and even a nice balcony offering a nice pristine view of the sea. "This is nice here," Adrian said to us while looking at the sea from the balcony.
"Yes," Cassius said to him back as he put his scabbard on the side of his bed.
"This is so luxurious at a cheap price!" Frannie exclaimed while lying down on her bed comfortably.
"Yeah, it was…" Cassius responded in agreement.
I then nodded, too.
A bit later, all of us went to a seaside tavern, but it wasn't a tavern at all; it was a seaside restaurant with some chairs and tables being placed on a cliffside balcony overlooking the sea. We were astonished, and Russell commented, "This is quite cool and nostalgic for me…"
"I see then…" I replied.
We then entered and found a table for 15, a seating arrangement common mostly in royal meals, before settling there as the sound of the sea's waves crashes against the walls of the balcony below. Adrian, Rai, and Janet liked it, while Russell and Kelly listened to it closely and embracingly. And then, a waiter came to us and greeted us, "Welcome to Peak Water Seaside Restaurant. Here's your menu."
That person then hurriedly left and went back to the kitchen. After that, most of us grabbed the 5 copies of the restaurant menus to search for meals for this late lunchtime. Russell, Ria, and Adrian shared one menu. Adrian wanted some lobsters, while Russell wanted some grilled salmon with lemon. Frannie chose and proposed to have a plate of lobsters. Cassius couldn't decide on what to eat. I, on the other hand, chose a bowl of catfish soup with onions and some salty sauce. Most of the prices of the available menu are cheap and affordable, even for a country like this.
"So," Cassius said to us, "what do you like to order for lunch. I haven't decided yet."
"I'll get a plate of salmon with lemon juice!" Russell replied back positively.
"I'll have some lobsters, please," Adrian added.
"I'll have the same!" Frannie responded.
"I'll get a plate of catfish with rice," Janet responded, too.
"Okay then," I responded back, "I'll get a bowl of catfish soup with onions and this special salty sauce."
"That sounds like a good choice, Aren-san," Adrian said to me.
The others eventually made their final choices for lunch, and Cassius eventually called in a waitress to have our orders listed. And, we did so, and the waitress took our orders and left for the kitchen. Over 31 minutes later, our meal had come, piping hot and very presentable in our eyes. And so, we took our first bites, and it was…very tasty.
"Woah, this one is so tasty," Cassius, who eventually went for a plate of grilled mussels, commented in mild awe.
"Woah, the lobsters were hot, and their meat inside is quite full of spices!" Russell commented in awe and enthusiasm, before gobbling up the meat inside the lobsters fast.
I looked at Frannie, who was as excited as the Bus Driver Hero in eating her meal.
The others are very happy with their food choices.
And so, with that, I looked at my catfish soup with slices of partially cooked onions and drizzles of salty sauce on its watery and oily surface. It tasted quite good, to be honest.
