Chapter 230 - Chapter 230 - Kate-Raler, a Coastal Capital

Third person POV

A bit later, Gerald went back to the captain's control room while saying to Russell, "Okay, I'll be going back to my work now. You can stay here before we arrive at our destination, okay?" Russell heard that and looked at him. "Okay, thanks for letting me use your private library." With that, he went back to his restudying of his earth languages. The relearning of earth languages, depending on the Otherworlder and its native tongue, gives out a 0.5 percent increase in its proficiency. Meanwhile, Adrian and the others are eating their meals in their accommodations. The food was tasty, and the crew members of the ferry served it.

Later on, 1 hour before arriving at Kate-Raler, Russell was looking at the sea from the viewing decks admiring its beautiful and almost picturesque view while retaining much of his recovered earth language vocabulary in his mind and memory. At the same time, Caspian and Sylas are eating dessert at the cafeteria and Aren and Frannie are exploring the wonders and amenities of SS Aethelstan. Adrian was reading a book in his room while Kelly, Rai, and Ria were taking a power nap in their accommodation.

And then, at 1:22 p.m., the ferry arrived at Kate-Raler, the urban capital city of the YIF. The city was big and urbanized, with a series of harbours stationed on the southwestern coast of it. Seeing that he had arrived at his destination, Russell went to the captain's control room. At the same time, while Laszlo was happy about the successful and safe voyage, Gerald said to him, "Hey, let's do an inventory after we arrive."

Hearing that, Laszlo was taken aback yet replied back nicely, "Yes, of course, captain." But his mind said in dread, "I am now dead! That tedious thing to do again!"

And then, as Gerald went back to the controls, Russell entered the room, only to see that Laszlo was a bit down and dreadful. So, he went to him and asked, "Hey, what's wrong?" Laszlo then looked back at him. "Inventory after a successful voyage is a pain in the ass!"

 "Why?"

"Because it needs to be precise and accurate! And…counting items is the hardest part of it."

 "Oh…yeah, that makes sense…"

Laszlo was dreadful but have to do it as part of his training to be a captain of a new water vessel soon.

And so, after SS Aethelstan docked at the harbours of Kate-Raler, Gerald made his usual announcement to the passengers onboard. Once the car deck was opened to the edge of one of the harbours. Those who had vehicles went first. Among them is Russell while his friends grabbed their belongings and disembarked the ferry with comments of good service, comfortable accommodation, and great amenities. Laszlo, meanwhile, was doing an inventory of the ferry's remaining supplies, from food in the cafeteria to stocked products in the mini store while crying in dreadful pain.

Not long after, Adrian and the others boarded the bus, and they and Russell left the place and into the city's downtown with excitement towards the city's wonders and tourist attractions. It is the destination of their trip.
