Third person POV
[Back at the present…]
Later after lunch, while walking across the ferry with Gerald, Russell suddenly that his knowledge and proficiency in his three earth languages were starting to decline, and he started to forget some of the vocabulary. This happened when an Otherworlder like him didn't use and utilize some of the vocabularies in their earth language or languages on a regular basis. Thus, the percentage of the vocabulary started to decline slowly. In Russell's case, the language that has the fastest decline is Bicolano in the Central dialect, while the slowest is English.
So, when Russell conveyed this to Gerald, Gerald was alarmed and immediately took him to his ferry's library, which was located in the same deck as the crew one. There Russell was astonished at how expansive it was. The library was huge and spanned over 4 rooms. These were filled with bookshelves full of books, from dictionaries of vocabulary and grammar of the majority of earth languages to generic ones of generic topics like history and world geography. The library also had modern light bulbs for lighting and was decorated with red, blue, and white decorations.
So, Gerald started searching for the earth language books that matched Russell's language needs.
The search was then successful, and Russell was presented with these hard-bound, Victorian-style, colourful-covered books on a wooden table.
Gerald explained that the majority of the books were given by book merchants who travelled in his ferry, as well as some travellers who happened to be Otherworlders.
