Third person POV
And then, the people on the pier, who had been anticipating the ferry's arrival, cheered for its arrival. Some of them were regular travellers who went back and forth between the mainland continent and the Yanabara Islands, so travelling on a ferry like the SS Athelstan is a must. The ferry then docked itself up and its dock was unloaded. The car deck contained nothing but animals and animal-drawn carts and wagons. But it does have weights to keep the ferry balanced and stable while on its voyages. Then, the captain's announcement came through the ferry's PA system, "Ladies and gentlemen, we have successfully arrived at the port of Blareween, Jaer Province, the Karala Jungle Federation. Thank you for riding with us. Please disembark the ferry through the front deck in front of the car deck safely. Those who had vehicles, please go ahead and man them out of the car deck safely. Make sure you have all of your belongings with you before disembarking the ferry. Thank you and have a great day."
And so, as the passengers and the animals and animal-drawn vehicles were now disembarking the ferry and onto the pier, Russell and his group looked at them with awe. Some of the passengers had baskets on hand, while others carried barrels and wooden crates containing whatever they had with them. The number of passengers for this finished voyage was 240, and the capacity of the ferry was 350. Aren was stunned, knowing that the Otherworlders were the most unique of all races in this world. After the disembarking was done, two of the port crew members on standby went into action to announce and call those who wanted to board the ferry ship. And so, jumping into this great opportunity, Russell and his group joined the line of passengers for the payment of the fee. Since the ship captain was too busy to meet up with his new passengers on the pier, two crew members were sent to collect the fees from paying passengers and recording their names on the ferry's manifesto. The currencies used in this nation are the Copper coins, silver coins, and the Royals. So, the passengers on line prepared their payments, while in the front paid their fees and entered into the ferry via the stairs right of the car deck. Those who had animals, like horses and cows, and animal-drawn vehicles had to position and park them in the car deck with some of the ferry crew guiding in their parking positions to make sure that the ferry stayed stable and balanced.
And so, once they were in the front, Russell and his group went up to one of the two crew members. "Welcome aboard to the SS Athelstan," one of the two crew members, dressed in uniforms that resemble flight attendants, said to them nicely, "That'll be 3 Copper coins for each of you. Are you travelling solo or in a group?"
"Hello there, ma'am," responded Russell back nicely, "I am travelling with these people."
He then glanced at his friends.
"Oh, okay," the female crew member replied back as she looked at them. "How many of them to be exact."
"We are 15 of us," replied Adrian back on his friend's behalf.
After she did the head count of them, the female crew member responded back, "Ah, I see…okay, that'll be 2 Royals, please."
Aren, who some Royals on hand, paid for it, while Russell paid his part, too.
After receiving the payment, the second crew member, this time a male one, asked them, "Did any of you have a vehicle with you?"
"Yes, I do," replied Russell back nicely and politely. "This one."
He then looked at his bus for a bit.
When he saw his vehicle, the male crew member was a bit stunned but managed to regain his professional manners and said, "Ah, I see. Please park that one in the car deck. We'll have the car deck crew guide your parking."
Realizing that, Russell quickly agreed and replied back, "Yes, sir."
He then ran to his bus to park on the car deck of the ferry.
The female crew member showed the ferry's manifesto book to his friends. "Here, write your names in this manifesto before proceeding to the ferry, please."
Russell's friends then did so, with Adrian writing John's name for John, too.
