Chapter 216 - Chapter 216 - Aren's Monitor over Frannie

Third person POV

Because of that, Russell and Kazi were shocked, and Aren, who had brought his family genealogy book, explained to them that his generation gap with Frannie is over 30 generations away, much to their shock. When the two friends of his looked at the few pages of the family tree of Aren and Frannie, they were astonished.

"Woah…" Kazi commented in shocking amazement.

"Wow, that was quite flippin' long," Russell added.

"Yeah…" Aren responded back while crossing his arms, "in fact, we are so unrelated by literal blood that we can get married, too…"

To that Russell's mind said, "That's because you two are so far off in your family tree!"

After that, Aren apologized to them for the second time about Frannie's bad behaviour, and for the second time, Russell and Kazi assured him that it wasn't his fault. But Aren insisted by promising that he'll be monitoring Frannie's movements and behaviour for a while, as well as doing an investigation to prove her obsession with Russell. Because of that, Russell and Kazi accepted it to lighten his feelings of guilt.

And so, at night, while Russell and Kazi were eating dinner at the dining hall, Aren sent some spies and crows to monitor Frannie's activities and behaviour so she would not do something stupid again. Frannie and her court were distraught by this, and Frannie didn't like being monitored by someone older than her. Now, Aren monitored Frannie's behaviour and movements through his spies and crows, much to Frannie's dismay.

Furthermore, while his two friends were sleeping in the guest rooms of his palace, he went to Frannie's palace in the middle of the night by using his Crows ability to do his investigation by interrogating Frannie and anyone in her court and inner circle who was involved in this attempted kidnapping of Russell. In this investigation in the night, he discovered photos of Russell in a room in her palace and was upset with her, as well as those who got involved in the kidnapping admitted it straight and clear. Frannie also confessed to this crime.

Now his investigation proves everything, Aren gave out a harsh scolding to them and warned that this would lead to a provocation with the Southern Plains. "Fine…" Frannie upsettingly and sheepishly responded back.

"And also, apologize to the Passato family, too," Aren said to her back seriously like an older sibling or parent. "We'll go to Rossley tomorrow morning."

Frannie agreed since she didn't have a choice.

After all, her act today would have resulted in a diplomatic crisis with the Southern Plains.
