[The year 2108]
[Bell Family Estate]
"Mom, where are we going today?" A young 8-year-old with black hair and emerald green eyes asks, looking up at her mother with pearl white skin, brown eyes, and black hair wearing a skirt with a black blouse.
"We are going to the army barracks to measure and identify your and your sister's powers today." The mother said this, petting her child's head.
"I am so excited! I really hope I get the same power as Mama." A younger version of the mother said this from next to the black-haired child.
"Nah, I want Dad's power." The black-haired child said it excitedly.
"What, Ren, do you think Dad's powers are better than mine?" The mother asked, surprised, looking at the black-haired child.
"Yes! I want to be able to wield lightning. especially that violet-red lighting his father is known for. It looks so cool." Ren said with both of her arms raised upward.
"But I can make blue flames. Isn't this cooler?" The mother said, hopefully, holding her hand out, making a small blue flame appear in her hand.
"But lighting is way cooler, Mom. It's unpredictable and can easily kill enemies if needed." Ren said, smiling to herself, making her mother's factional pressure stiffen.
Some people would have said that an 8-year-old should never talk about death or killing, but in the entire household, they get tougher things from an early age, something an 8-year-old should never know about until they become an adult.
"But fire can also be unpredictable, and it is quite good at roasting our enemies," the mother said with an awkward smile, looking at her child.
"Don't worry, Mom. I am certain I will have my mother's power, not my father's," the twin said, taking their mother's attention.
"Yes, yes, Liana, I know you will," the mother said, rubbing her head as well.
"Milady, the car is ready to leave." The butler said he was coming into the room.
"Thank you, Tim. We will be there shortly," the mother said, waving at the butler. Looking at the two girls, the mother continued, "Come on, let's go, you two."
"Yes, mother!"
"Yes, mom."
[2 hours later]
[USA military camp, Old Canada]
In an office, a doctor with two nurses behind him talked to a woman in her late 30s.
"What did you just say?" the woman asks calmly.
"Miss Bell, Ren Bell is the first-ever S rank with the ability of teleportation, and Liana Bell is an SSS rank Fire user. Sadly, it's just normal red flames and not your blue flames, but SSS reanks none the less." The doctor explains very calmly, trying to hide his joy.
"How useless. Teleportation seriously." The mother of the twins said it with a twisted expression, surprising everyone in the room.
"Miss Bell, there has never been a B rank or above teleportation user before. Just think of how much your daughter will be able to do in the future. Teleportation powers also come with an extraordinary body." The doctor said, letting a smile grace his lips.
"Hmph, like I care what a useless power like that can do in the future. At least we have Liana. What a good child," the mother said, sighing to herself.
"Mom, check it out. I can teleport around now!" Suddenly, a joyful voice came out of the room. Everyone turned to the voice, only to see empty space.
"Hehe, I am here," the same voice said from the other side of the room, making everyone shoot their heads towards it only to see nothing but air again.
"Hehe, too slow."
"Ren Bell, stop right now!" the mother yelled angrily.
"Yes, mom." Ren Bell said it fearfully, appearing in front of her mother.
"Tsk," Clicking her tongue, the mother glared at her child.
"Miss Bell, isn't it wonderful? She can already use her powers to that degree, and it seems her eyes can," the doctor said happily, only to get interrupted.
"Shut up! Ren, you will be staying here for four years," the mother said with a disappointed tone. Not waiting for an answer, she walked away, adding, "Doc, please get cute Liana for me."
"Miss Bell, but..." the doctor said.
"I don't care what you do with her." The mother said this, not even looking back, leaving everyone in the room stunned.
"Mom?" Ren muttered with one hand raised towards her mother's back.
"Little lady, don't worry. We will take good care of you for the next four years," the doctor said, gently rubbing her head.
"Okay," Ren said, dropping her head down.
"Doctor, should I prepare a room for her on the top floor?" One of the nurses asked.
"That will be wonderful, Windie," the doctor said, nodding happily at one of the nurses.
[4 years later]
[Ren POV]
'4 years, huh? That went by fast.' I thought, climbing out of the car that stopped in front of a house I hadn't seen in a long time.
"Hey Ren, remember we will always be there, okay?" Doc said, smiling at me from the driver's seat.
"I know, Doc. I will be fine. I am certain they missed me after all these years.' I said, smiling at him.
"A before you go. Here is your early birthday present." Doc said, grabbing a package from behind the seat before giving it to me.
"Thanks, Doc. I appreciate it a lot, but I think you just need to worry about Wendie and Tess. You know both of them are pregnant, right?" I said it with a smirk before closing the car door.
"Ha ha ha," I said, laughing at his shocked face.
"What!!!!" After a few seconds, Doc came out of it and shouted before driving off at full speed.
"Haha, I'm so happy Wendie and Tess told me I could tell him today," I said, turning towards the house. Rubbing my head awkwardly, I sighed before walking up to the front gate.
"Who are you?" A man in a black suit said this, appearing next to me.
"Hmm, the name is Ren Bell," I said, looking at him calmly.
'He is fast. I wonder if I could reach that speed one day.' I thought while inspecting the man.
"..." Not saying anything, he looked at me curiously.
"Uhm, am I aloud in now?" I asked hesitantly.
"No, wait here," the man said, disappearing again.
"Huh, seriously? It is almost nighttime," I mumbled to myself.
[3 hours later]
"You have permission to enter," the man from before said, walking up to me.
"Okay," I said, standing up and pushing the two bags off my body. I was still shivering from the cold.
"Where are my parents?" I asked, seeing no one else besides the man.
"They had a long day and went to bed right after the young Miss Party," the man said calmly, not moving to help me.
"Party? Whatever. Can you show me to my room at least?" I said, putting on my backpack while holding the bag Doc gave me in my hand.
"As I was ordered to," the man said, turning to the side and gesturing for me to follow him.
[10 min]
"Mister, this is a warehouse?" I said, looking at the giant, unkept building in front of me.
"I was ordered to bring you here. This is your new living courter." The butler said, nodding.
"Who ordered you?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"The lady of the house. Now I will take my leave." The man said he was disappearing.
"Mom did?" I muttered, confused.
"Wait, what am I supposed to do about food?" I yelled, looking in the direction the man ran into.
Sighing again, I walked into the warehouse before closing the door behind me. Looking at the inside of the warehouse, I saw that it was utterly empty. There was nothing inside, and the floor itself was about 500m by 500m. The roof was about 80 metres high, and every 100 metres, there was a staircase. On the opposite side of the warehouse where I came in, you can see an office overseeing the entire warehouse.
"Well, it's not all bad. At least Tess taught me about grunt work," I said, smiling at the memories of Tess coming up to me with caring drills and wood and a giant smile.
"Hmm, let's go check out that office first," I said, disappearing and reappearing in front of the door leading into the office.
Creek.
Whoosh.
"Cough, cough, cough, shit, that is a lot of dust. What the hell?" I said after having a coughing fit because of all the dust.
Opening the door entirely, I saw that the room had at least a big desk and some chairs.
"That can be useful after I clean it. Anyway, that will need to wait for tomorrow," I said, disappearing again and reappearing in the middle of the warehouse.
"Let's see what Doc and his wives got me," I said, putting the bag Doc gave me on the ground in front of me.
Opening it, I saw that it was actually a small spatial bag. Putting my hand into the bag, I grabbed the first thing. Pulling out the thing I grabbed, I saw a laser cutter, and it was the latest version at that.
"Haha, just the thing I will need tomorrow," I said happily. Diving back into the bag, I pulled out everything that was inside.
"Did they know or something?" I said, looking at all the hardware and other things that Doc and his family had given me. Looking at all the hardware, food, and bedding, I shrugged before getting myself ready for bed.
