Chapter 2 - Nephalem

Race Description:

Born from the forbidden union of a sacred divine angel (similar to the Nephilim but far rarer and more powerful) and an evil demonic servant of the devil, Nephalems are an exceptionally rare race across all planes of existence-earthly, spiritual, divine, or even hell itself. Their very existence poses a grave threat to heaven, earth, and hell, for they possess not only the free will to choose their allegiance (a freedom denied to angels and demons) but also the unique ability to surpass the powers of all beings on either side -angels and demons alike, even when united.

This is because, in addition to inheriting the powers of both races, Nephalems are intrinsically linked to the fabric of the universe, capable of manipulating existence on multiple levels. With enough experience, they alone can ascend to true omnipotence, rivaling even God Himself, the creator of all. This terrifying potential is well known among all celestial and infernal beings, making Nephalems the most feared entities in existence.

Of course, no Nephalem has ever lived long enough to reach such heights, for they are the most hunted beings in the supernatural realm. Yet, they remain the only race with the potential to attain the power of the Father of All Creation-a feat no other being can achieve.

Nephalem:

Nephalem are a unique and nearly inconceivable breed, born from the union of a demon (whether low or high-ranking) and an angel of any class. Their birth is always tumultuous, as both sides strive to prevent it by any means necessary.

The very conception of a Nephalem is a near-impossibility -ancients believed one might be born only once every thousand years, or as an omen of impending cataclysm.

However, fate is not absolute.

Some worlds or universes operate under different laws, either aiding or conspiring against such unions.

A relationship between an angel and a demon is known as Unio Infernum-Angelicae, considered a war crime punishable by the most severe penalties-for angels and demons, death is not always the worst fate.

"And alas, we are the children of fathers and mothers, equal yet opposite-one of decay, the other of light. In truth, the union of angel and demon has birthed a third essence. We are those children.

We are the Nephalem. Half angel, half demon-yet entirely a new entity. They loved us for our lineage. They feared us for our difference. And so, they hunted us... as our own parents became our executioners."
