Emrys felt a heaviness in his heart. He could sense that the technique he had just learned was inherently evil. But then again, was there truly anyone without darkness within them?
Even he has a dark side after fusing with a fragment of that unknown person's soul. Though he felt unease after learning the skill, he knew one thing with certainty, if the situation demanded, he would not hesitate to use this skill. Backing down was not an option.
Emrys didn't let go of the sword. Holding its hilt, he waited until the sword stopped devouring the dark fog.
It was then that Emrys realized that the sword was not exactly devouring the wall of dark fog but that some special energy was present there. That special energy quite resembled the dark fog itself, thus confusing him earlier. Now that the special energy was gone, the sword stopped devouring the fog.
