On July 10, Huo Sining finished her last exam of the second half of her freshman year, took a nap in the afternoon, and was lazily sitting in the courtyard drinking afternoon tea when suddenly she heard the gate bell being pressed.
Huo Sining was startled and hastily stood up to open the door.
Outside stood a man in his fifties who, upon seeing Huo Sining open the door, looked at her respectfully and asked, "Are you Miss Huo Sining, Huo Miss?"
Huo Sining did not recognize the man, felt odd, and could only ask, "I am Huo Sining. May I ask who you are?"
Upon hearing this, the man immediately breathed a sigh of relief, reached into his chest and pulled out a gold-embossed invitation, respectfully handing it to Huo Sining:
"Miss Huo, good day. I am here on behalf of my master to deliver this invitation. This weekend is my master's birthday, and he would like to invite you to grace the dinner banquet."
"Your master?"
