Chapter 155 - Chapter 153 - .

[Chapter Size: 2100 Words.]

Third Person POV

England.

...

...

Snape spent the next few days inside his house, using all the ingredients he had received from the Greengrass family, while realizing he would need more soon.

He noticed that in the living room, several shadow beings were moving herbs and plants from one side to the other, while some cut pieces and others cooked and prepared ingredients. Twenty-one shadow soldiers worked between the room Snape used to finalize potions, the house's kitchen, and the outside area, where more ingredients were being prepared.

Everything seemed quite hectic in Snape's current house, with the shadow mages proving to be a great help. They were able to brew basic and intermediate potions, slightly below Snape's own quality standards — after all, he was already an expert at it. Still, it helped lower production costs a bit due to the lower quality.

'They can be used to maintain the store's stock while I'm at Hogwarts.' Snape thought as he began organizing the potions and placing them in his bag. He left the laboratory and entered the living room, where various shadows were still working. After ensuring everything was in order, he headed to the fireplace, leaving his men to continue their tasks.

He used Floo Powder and went directly to his shop. It was still early, and the store wasn't open yet. He appeared on the second floor and quickly descended to the ground floor, where Genini was sweeping and cleaning some potion bottles that hadn't sold in the past few days since Snape had reopened the store with more products on display.

"Genini, Igris." Snape announced his presence. Genini looked up, startled, and from a shadow on the wall, Igris emerged, walking toward Snape and kneeling before him, as if about to say, 'My king.' But he remained silent.

"Here… potions for you to restock the store." Snape said, ignoring Igris's gesture, as he had been doing for days.

Genini appeared cautious, setting the broom aside and carefully taking the bag from Snape.

"It will… it will be done, Master…" she murmured, stuttering slightly with fear, unsure whether to look at Snape or at Igris, who remained kneeling.

"Very well. I'm leaving." Snape said at last. He had other things to do and intended to let Genini handle the store, selling products, while Igris dealt with any troublemakers.

"Mr. Snape!" Genini suddenly called out from a corner as she began removing the bottles from the bag and placing them on the shelves, drawing Snape's attention once more.

"Yes?" he asked, pausing at the stairs, ready to use the fireplace again. Igris, meanwhile, faded back into a shadowy corner to hide.

"Some men from the Ministry came asking about a man made of shadows — that's Igris. They said some wizards had been attacked here at the shop by him. Others have also been asking questions…" she murmured cautiously.

"I see. Let them talk all they want. I will not tolerate any trouble in my shop, whether it comes from a Dark wizard or the Ministry itself. Tell them we have a magical guard. That alone should suffice. And if they really want to test it, let them try to break anything in the store…" Snape said in a serious tone, making a shiver run through Genini's body immediately.

"Y-yes… yes!" she stammered, watching as Snape returned home.

Back at his house, the shadow soldiers continued preparing ingredients, while the shadow mages brewed potions without protest.

"Perhaps I should gather a larger group of these mages…" Snape murmured to himself. But soon, he left the house, drawing his wand. He still had his sword, but what he really needed now was to work on his magic.

"This wand… it really is a part of me… but could I craft more complex spells without speaking or making any gestures with it?"

Snape stood alone at the edge of a cliff, gazing at his hand, pondering the possibility. It would make him much faster in battle. But no one in the wizarding world had ever mastered such a thing. No one had ever managed to cast spells without depending on a wand.

"There are some accounts of wizards throughout history who could do that with a few specific spells…" Snape murmured to himself but didn't dwell too much on the thought. After all, he would need to research it in the magical library. Perhaps finding ways to cast spells without a wand would be highly useful this year, along with creating new spells.

Without wasting more time, he pointed his wand toward the sky. A bolt of lightning shot out, racing into the sunny sky. Snape uttered a few words in Latin, and soon the sky began to shift, with new clouds forming out of thin air. The atmosphere darkened, hiding the bright day.

'This is the kind of spell I haven't mastered yet, and it will certainly be the most powerful in my arsenal. Let's practice it.'

With that thought, he turned the day into a gloomy, stormy weather. His magic, now among the most powerful in the world, allowed him to alter the weather itself. People in the nearby town glanced up, surprised at the sudden change. Thunderbolts began striking the coastal hill repeatedly, with onlookers wondering what strange event was occurring once again.

The lightning and the storm raged on as everyone took shelter inside their homes. For hours, Snape trained relentlessly, pushing himself to his limits, until his magic was completely drained.

It was close to nightfall when he returned to the house, soaked and visibly exhausted from the intense training session — a common occurrence for him. He was greeted by his shadow soldiers, who stood waiting with a towel in hand, looking concerned for him.

"Tsk. Leave it. I'll take a bath." Snape said, using his wand to dry himself before heading to the bathroom.

The shadow soldiers continued their work throughout the night while Snape slept. By morning, they had prepared many ingredients, leaving several batches ready for him to brew personally. Snape had to admit that the shadow soldiers had made his life far easier. He could now produce five times more potions without wasting time on preparing ingredients or brewing basic concoctions.

He set that thought aside and opened the newspaper with a cup of coffee in hand. As he read through the headlines, he saw reports of Death Eater activity once again. People remained worried about events from nearly three months ago — the resurgence of Voldemort and his growing influence.

There was also a story about a new professor joining Hogwarts. The newspaper seemed to be giving the matter considerable attention, though it didn't reveal the professor's identity, only hinting that it would be a major surprise.

Ignoring the article, Snape continued sipping his coffee. His eyes then fell on several packages that had been stored in a corner over the past week. One of them came directly from Steve. It contained a broomstick, accompanied by a note saying Snape didn't have one and might need it.

Snape took the package, deciding to try flying a broom for the first time in his life. Mounting the broom, he took off into the air, leaving his shadow soldiers behind as they continued working.

"This is quite easy… and Snape used to struggle with this?" he murmured to himself as he soared through the skies effortlessly, even reaching the broom's maximum speed.

Eventually, he arrived at his intended destination — the magical post office, where deliveries and letters were waiting for him. Since no one knew the exact location of his residence, his mail was held there.

"Aren't you supposed to be at school?" the woman at the counter asked suspiciously, noting the appearance of a seventeen-year-old boy. Despite Snape looking older than his age, his birthdate — January 9th — was recorded in their system.

"Does that matter to you?" Snape replied curtly.

"I suppose not. Arrogant teenagers… must be from Slytherin," she muttered before checking the number of letters in stock.

"You have… 1,219 letters?!" she exclaimed, her voice rising at the end.

"That's a lot. But let me see them all." Snape requested calmly.

With no choice, the woman went to the storage area and retrieved all the letters, placing them in a magical bag using her wand.

"Here it is… that'll be 500 Galleons for the bag," she said.

Snape nodded, handing over the money with ease.

That amount was nothing to him.

Returning home, Snape began sorting through the letters. There were letters from the Ministry, letters from Hogwarts waiting to contact him, and many others. Most were threats from prominent families, but some were interesting — friends sending him birthday greetings. He even received one from Geronimo, acknowledging his birthday on January 9th, marking his seventeenth year in this body.

He didn't linger on those letters and moved on to the professional correspondence. He skimmed through the latest updates from the Greengrass family, who expressed concern about him after their daughter informed them he hadn't returned to Hogwarts yet.

After reading, Snape rewrote a response, explaining that he was fine, taking care of some matters at the shop, and that he needed another batch of the same supplies he had previously purchased.

Once that letter was done, Snape wrote another one, this time to Steve, stating that he needed to return to Transylvania. He wanted to find out what had happened to Atlas, and he intended to handle it before returning to school. His Graphorn deserved to be rescued — or avenged — after what had happened. And now, with his current strength, he could face any vampire in the world.

However, the response he received from Steve the following day was vague. Steve simply said that Snape didn't need to worry about Atlas, as the creature was already back in England and safe. He would meet Snape soon.

"What's this guy up to now?" Snape murmured as he read the letter. He wasn't sure what to think of Steve anymore. Beyond the ring and the broom he had gifted, Steve had somehow retrieved Atlas after Snape left him at Dracula's castle. And he seemed to be doing all of this willingly, something Snape couldn't quite accept. Something felt off. That talk about Snape having to destroy Voldemort… there was more to it. Something hidden.

Either way, Snape accepted Steve's answer and asked no further questions. He spent the next few days brewing potions, restocking the store repeatedly.

Genini was working harder than ever as customers steadily returned now that the shop was open again. Despite this, Snape was producing far more potions than the shop could sell. Still, he kept restocking so Genini could continue selling them while he was at Hogwarts.

People were drawn to the quality of the potions, and word quickly spread that the shop was back in business. It wasn't long before rumors started circulating, linking the store to a mysterious alchemist active in the wizarding world — someone whose identity remained unknown.

Snape wasn't concerned. No one could possibly imagine it was him. The shop had been acquired through Gringotts Bank, which protected his identity, and no one dared to mess with goblins.

Everything seemed routine. The shop's stock was full, and Snape was preparing to return to Hogwarts. Yet, some people were beginning to connect the dots between him and the mysterious alchemist. And news of the shop's reopening reached those same people.

One day, Genini rushed to him on the second floor.

"Master Snape! Master Snape!" she exclaimed upon seeing him.

"Yes?" He raised an eyebrow as he carried more potions to place in the shop.

"There's someone here waiting for you. He even knows your name!" she said, visibly shaken.

"He…" Snape immediately felt the magical presence downstairs. "How long has he been here?" he asked.

"He's been here for four hours, Master Snape. I told him to come back later, but he insisted on staying," she said, trembling.

"I see… Let me handle him, then," Snape replied. He disapparated, appearing in the middle of the shop, where the man who had been waiting for hours stood, surprised at his sudden arrival.

"Headmaster Dumbledore…" Snape calmly remarked, looking at the man. The shop was empty — already closed for the day.
