Chapter 67 - Light Me Up, Again

[KIYOMI]

When Kiyomi had gotten the file from Doctor Zeydan, she hadn't paid too much attention to it, because she knew that this was just a farce the woman was putting on so that the good doctor would be the one to get to her.

It was something that had scared Kiyomi and she had hoped that Elif would be untouched, while she tried not to think of the horrors that threatened to swallow her alive.

She had always tried to be a kind person and yet Izanami Watanabe always found a way to make her not the most pathetic of craters.

So, when the door opened after hearing Izanami's voice, Kiyomi had long given up any chances of ever going to see Elif one more time. She knew that her human best friend would not be so happy with her disappearance.

However, Kiyomi had realized that time would make all things better. That time would make Elif understand that some things had to be done. That was what she had readied herself for—

A smug-looking Izanami with the Bogdan Lycans ready to snuff the life out of her and drag her out and into their room where she would forever be the worst serving slave for the streets of her life.

Frankly, compared to what she was looking at right now, Kiyomi would have preferred death.

In all truth.

"What the FUCK?!" Kiyomi screeched.

She wasn't sure if this was just another bit of her endless nightmares that had always been dominated by the woman before her, or if she had finally managed to go insane because of her imagination.

This couldn't be real.

It was just impossible.

There was no fucking way that it could be real, and nothing could have prepared her for it anyway. This was insanity at best and for the first time, Kiyomi wondered if her mind was playing tricks or if this was as real as it could get.

Surely there had to be an explanation for this too, right?

"I'm just going to assume that is a welcoming note and that you want to see me get better," a smug Izanami said as she walked into the room with the aid of the high guards and a smirking yet reluctant Otaru following in.

The woman was a mess, the kind that Kiyomi wasn't sure she was going to be able to fix. It just made no sense and for a moment, she tried to imagine that this was the Lycan kingdom and that she was just a doctor there.

But that made it even worse, because never in her life in Doiwa had she ever encountered a case as insane as this one.

"What the fuck happened to self-healing Lycan abilities? What the fuck did you get yourself into?" Kiyomi asked her tone concerned and controlled, and yet disbelieving, because Izanami couldn't have been in the state.

The woman she had known was a bastard and never once got hurt. No one ever got that close to hurting her and yet here she was bleeding and wounded. It was no wonder that she had been transferred to the intensive care unit.

Kiyomi was a general surgeon and this just didn't make sense for her.

What the fuck was he supposed to do, huh? Tie up holes that they all knew that human medicine would never be able to fix, or they hoped that her mother had left her some Lycan healing abilities to fix the craziest woman alive?

This was crazy.

"Can you fix me or not?" Izanami growled.

Otaru sighed.

"What happened to her, Otaru?" Kiyomi asked.

Just then, the door to the consultation room opened, and through it, came Kiyomi's wet dream, looking wet, literally. It took a moment for the good doctor to try and come to her senses, but even then, her delusions were taking over real fast.

"I can't be dreaming about you now," Kiyomi mumbled defeatedly as she rubbed her eyes and went back to focus on the patient before her.

She didn't know what the fuck had gotten her to this side of the realm, but it couldn't be good, if the proud Izanami had to come and seek help from the doctor she despised more than life could ever make possible.

It was insane on so many levels, and Kiyomi wasn't about to buy into this shit.

What had happened out there?

"Ouch… And here I thought you would be glad to see me, petal. I guess I wasn't as important," Sakura pouted and that was all it took for Kiyomi to run to the door and throw herself into Sakura's arms.

She knew that it was probably a stupid decision and that the queen would disown her after this, but she didn't care. Even if Sakura wanted her dead after this, Kiyomi would die a very happy woman.

She didn't mind dying with Sakura's scent all over her. She would be fine and if the afterlife was a myth, then she would die a very happy woman.

"Saki, you came… I thought—" Kiyomi rambled as she held onto Sakura tightly, scared that if she let go, this would all be a dream for her again.

She didn't mind having dreams, but here with Izanami in the room, she wanted to at last have someone she trusted and Sakura's scent was enough for her, truly.

"I missed you too, kitten. So much," Sakura said in earnest.

"I… you're here… You're really here," Kiyomi said, not letting go.

She was probably being unprofessional but then this was not a regular case and she would eventually find a way around it. With Sakura, she would be safe. She would be okay.

If the word came after her, she was sure Saki would come for her.

"Oh, Saki," Kiyomi whimpered delightfully.

"My precious petal," Queen Sakura said as she pulled back for the hug, before slamming her lips against Kiyomi's, ignoring her mother's whines in the background.

Here and now, no one mattered more than Kiyomi Kimura-Watanabe and anyone with eyes could see that.

The good doctor was everything for the Lycan queen and she didn't hesitate to eat Kiyomi's mouth and lips like this was the one thing she had wanted to do for the longest of times.

Well, it was what she had wanted.

She had yearned for Kiyomi's scent all over her and it was a calming one. Sakura felt herself moan, and groan at the same time, she had missed Kiyomi so much. Oh, but she had dreamt of this moment for the longest time.

Granted, she hadn't imagined that they would both find their way to each other at Odanera City Hospital, but this is a bonus for the both of them. Life was finally beautiful and everyone could fuck off, right?

"You still taste as sweet as ever," Kiyomi said huskily and the room went silent.

The groaning former queen who was in so much pain instantly stopped groaning as she turned to take in the sight before her. She could smell the submission from Sakura and Izanami felt like the world had truly gone to shit.

"Always, for you," Sakura responded as she slammed their lips back together in a possessive dominant kiss. She had missed the good doctor so much and so she let her know through their kiss.

She knew just how hard life had been when Kiyomi was away while Izanami watched in pure shock.

"Get a room, you two," Otaru groaned when he couldn't take it any longer.

He was already used to the duo doing whatever the fuck they wanted whenever they were alone, and while he had been the key motivator for Sakura to come over to the human side, he hadn't wished to be at the frontline of their hot and messy make-out session.

This was not it for him and it was a tad too much even for him.

"I love you," Kiyomi said on the Sakura ground.

"No… you're mine. You don't get to tell anyone else you love them, and definitely not my enforcer," Sakura said possessively, tightening her hold on Kiyomi who was just smiling sheepishly at her.

For a moment, she had forgotten about the patient in the room or the fact that barely hours ago, she had been preparing for the worst to happen. Now, it all didn't even matter because Sakura was here with her.

"She wasn't addressing me, you doofus," Otaru sighed.

"Oh," Sakura sighed in realization.

"Yours, always," Kiyomi said softly, before hugging Saki, again.

"Do I need to look for another doctor?" Izanami's voice cut through, boredly.

"Don't you ever interrupt me with my Erasthai again, Izanami."
