Ling Hua nodded, walking inside while asking, "Did your grandfather agree to it?"
"He owes you a huge favor this time, he has to agree even if he doesn't want to, otherwise, what can he use to repay you?" Zhu Lan moved closer to Ling Hua, "When trouble arises, he can't protect me either. I figured, I still need to find a bigger support for myself."
Ling Hua laughed, "You are quite shrewd."
Zhu Lan took the comment as a compliment and asked softly, "So, did Du Wei release Liu Lanxi?"
"He did," said Ling Hua. "However, I've already promised on your behalf to give Du Wei a big gift from Green Forest. Jiangyang City lacks silver, and Green Forest has plenty of it, so Zhu Guang has already taken people back to Green Forest to pass on the message."
Zhu Lan probed cautiously, "How much silver then does Green Forest need to give Du Wei, to count as buying Liu Lanxi's freedom?"
