Ling Hua rested for a night, and with Yan Qing's help, she felt much lighter when they resumed their journey.
The two of them walked like this for five consecutive days, with Ling Hua not needing to be carried by Yan Qing even for a single step.
This was much stronger than what Ling Hua had anticipated, as she thought that she could persist for at most three days. She had been extremely worried about how to manage the remaining seven days before they set off, well aware of her own limits.
But unexpectedly, Yan Qing had ways to ease her fatigue and methods to keep her moving step by step. She knew, however, that it must be very hard on him. Even though he didn't complain, show disdain for her as a burden, or exhibit impatience, he was very considerate and took care of her in every possible way.
Thinking about it, Yan Qing's treatment of her now was probably much like that of a father to his daughter. Although she really didn't want to feel this way, it was indeed the case.
