As the dust settled, the Six Paths of Pain, along with Sasori and Deidara, appeared in the sight of everyone—eight figures in total.
"Why are there eight of them now?" Naruto was the first to shout.
"The Nine-Tails isn't hiding?" Deidara immediately locked his gaze on Naruto. "How lucky, yeah!"
"What did you say?!" Naruto glared at him. "I have a name, you bomb freak!"
Jiraiya looked at the familiar faces of the Deva Path and the Animal Path, memories from long ago flashing through his mind.
"Nagato."
He already knew the intel about the Six Paths of Pain and directly called out Nagato's name.
"Jiraiya-sensei."
The Deva Path raised his head to look at Jiraiya standing on top of the toad.
"It's been a long time."
"Indeed, it has been a long time."
Although Jiraiya had already known about the three of them, facing them now still filled him with sorrow.
"I'm sorry. I didn't expect the three of you to go through such things and become what you are now."
"No need to apologize, Jiraiya-sensei," the Deva Path's tone remained as cold as ever. "It's not your fault."
"Nagato, I always thought you were the one who could change the world. Now, we stand on opposite sides," Jiraiya continued, speaking more to himself.
"I've disappointed you, sensei," the Deva Path shifted his gaze to Naruto. "This time, I will take the Nine-Tails."
"Minato, leave this to me!" Jiraiya clenched his fists. "You and Naruto go find his main body!"
"You know quite a lot, Jiraiya-sensei," the Deva Path's voice grew even colder.
"Hahaha... Although I've failed as a teacher, I still have some merits as a ninja," Jiraiya took full responsibility for the source of the intel.
"Don't even think about leaving."
The Deva Path extended his right hand toward Naruto.
"Almighty Push!"
"Go!"
Minato reached out and grabbed Naruto's arm.
"Pervy Sage! Don't die!!"
Naruto shouted at Jiraiya before disappearing with Minato.
"Hey! Leader! You're just letting them go?" Deidara almost didn't react in time.
"It's fine," the Deva Path retracted his hand. "As long as they care about this village, they'll come back eventually."
"I see," Deidara reached into his ninja pouch and began chewing on clay. "Then let's make a big scene! Let the people of Konoha fully appreciate my art!"
Sasori had already emerged from his Hiruko puppet, with the Third Kazekage's puppet standing quietly beside him.
"Lord Jiraiya!!"
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Figures rushed in from all directions, surrounding the invaders.
A fierce battle was about to begin.
On the Hokage Rock.
"Hmm hmm hmm..." Orochimaru's hoarse laughter echoed. "No matter how many people they have, it's useless against those guys."
"Konoha has no choice but to respond like this," Kaito chuckled lightly.
"Trash is still trash, no matter how much of it there is. How will Jiraiya handle this?" Orochimaru's tone was full of schadenfreude.
"Well, let's just watch," Kaito's hair fluttered in the wind. "I hope the ninja of Konoha put up a good fight."
After all, what I want is still with Nagato.
"Magnet Release: Iron Sand Drizzle!"
Sasori, controlling the Third Kazekage's puppet, was the first to strike.
Countless iron sand needles blotted out the sky as they rained down on the crowd.
The Konoha ninja moved in an orderly fashion, many of them forming hand seals simultaneously.
"Earth Style: Earth Wall!"
Layers of earthen walls rose, blocking the iron sand needles.
"Hahaha, enjoy my art, Konoha scum!"
Deidara continuously threw clay bombs—birds, insects, snakes, and various other shapes—into the air and onto the ground.
"Explode!"
"Explode!"
"Explode!"
Deidara, his face full of excitement, formed hand seals as explosions rang out incessantly, disrupting the Konoha ninja's formation.
"Magnet Release: Iron Sand World Method!"
Black iron sand formed dense, sharp spikes, spreading rapidly across the battlefield as the Konoha ninja were thrown into chaos by the clay bombs.
Jiraiya, commanding Gamabunta, slashed furiously, but it wasn't enough to stop most of the attacks.
In an instant, the heavy scent of blood filled the air, and the Konoha ninja suffered heavy casualties.
In the command room.
"This won't work. These guys are too strong. Numbers mean nothing!"
Shikaku frowned deeply as he watched the massive surveillance screen.
"Send orders: Kakashi, Yamato, and Guy are to head to the battlefield to assist Lord Jiraiya. Everyone else, fall back!"
"Understood."
Inoichi, wearing a communication device, quickly relayed Shikaku's orders.
"Fall back!"
Jiraiya, seeing the dire state of the Konoha ninja, had already ordered the others to retreat.
He hadn't expected that Nagato hadn't even made a move, and yet Konoha was already suffering heavy losses.
These two...
He looked at Deidara and Sasori.
Although he had some intel, he had still underestimated them.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
"Hahahaha..." Deidara, riding a clay bird, circled in the air, occasionally dropping bombs. "This is amazing! My art! The best! Yeah!"
"That idiot is way too excited!" Sasori said with disdain. "Mere explosions can't be called art!"
"Let me hunt a big one, yeah."
Deidara, in the air, had already set his next target on the giant toad beneath Jiraiya.
"That big guy is mine, yeah!"
Deidara maneuvered his clay bird higher, stopping directly above Jiraiya's position.
"C3, Number 18!"
A massive clay doll fell from the sky, heading straight for Jiraiya.
"Gamabunta!"
Jiraiya quickly warned.
"Tch, what a pain."
Gamabunta exhaled smoke from his pipe, crouched low, and then leaped high into the air.
"Huh? Dodged it?" Deidara formed hand seals, watching the scene below. "But it doesn't matter. As long as I cause destruction, it's fine! Yeah!"
Just as he was about to shout and detonate the clay doll, a figure shot up from the ground.
"Chidori!"
Kakashi, holding a dazzling lightning blade, drilled into the clay doll from below and emerged from the side.
"Phew..." He landed, panting heavily, looking at the melted clay. "Good thing I made it in time!"
