The kids who had been playing heard the signal for dinner and joyfully ran toward Su Qing.
"Let's go, we should eat too."
Quan Tianyou stood up, reached out to pull Su Liuying up, and led her into the dining room hand in hand.
The dining room had been renovated, creating a cozier atmosphere for meals inside.
"Liuying, here's your favorite dish. Mother Su hasn't made it in ages; she's a bit out of practice!"
Su Qing placed a plate of tiger skin peppers in front of Su Liuying. "You'll have to make do for today! Next time, I'll make it better!"
She had been lying in the hospital for so long she worried she might not be able to recreate the flavor from before.
Su Liuying smiled at her and replied, "Thank you, Mother Su!"
