Chapter 216 - Outside The Murder Games

The whole world was watching the broadcast Battery and Beta had set up. The battles that were going on in the Murder Games were being viewed by everyone, letting them watch as their favorite heroes won and lost in rapid succession. The shock of the Emperor's return, of seeing Lucifer in the flesh, of a new Full Monarch battling... All of this happened in the span of less than one hour, all before their very eyes.

But...

What else was going on in the world? Surely, if everyone was all focused on the battle inside of the Murder Games, villains would use this as their chance to strike. That's correct. In an instant, the moment Battery and the Victorian vanished and left for the realm, crime instantly skyrocketed. Then, in another instant, it all came crashing down again as the villains lost.

Even without Battery and the Victorian, the good guys were stomping the bad guys.

In Oleander, Roulette flew through the air, sending out a sea of bullets that tore through the streets and wrapped around hundreds of different villains, some Supers, some just normal folks causing chaos. While he did that, Duplicity cloned herself and ran out, handcuffing them all. In another city, Guy With Gun's Brother ran around with a shotgun, smacking it into the heads of a non-powered villain group, knocking them out. Long Legs ran across the ground behind him, using his many limbs to throw the villains into a box created by Cube. Another hero named Stone Fist tore through a wave of robot villains, backing up Halo and War Goddess as he did so. In the oceans, several sea-based heroes like Lobster swam around, sending out waves of water that put out all the fires that were being caused in cities.

Things like this were happening all over the world. Despite having relied on the strong, like Battery or the Victorian, to defend them, the other heroes were now picking up the slack and stopping crime where they could.

So that brings us to Lillian, where a familiar villain was discovering her jailbreak plan was a lot harder than she had first thought.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Red Ape cried out and wrapped his arms around Green Wolf. "I'll never betray you again, I swear."

Green Wolf's eye twitched from under her mask, and she swung her sword out, slicing through the prison, killing waves of guards and prisoners. "Oh, trust me, I'm the last person you want to be seeing. The things I'm going to do to you..."

"You're holding a grudge!" Red Ape asked.

"Hell yes! Do you know how much you made my life a living hell after you turned me into a girl?" Green Wolf stalked forward, swinging her sword again and again, going on a rampage. Her other arm had Red Ape flung over her shoulder as she carried him out of the prison. "Now, I will say I don't mind this new body, but you went and stepped out of line."

"Oh, come on! So I let a little bit of power get to my head. Clearly I must have done something right for you to come charging in here, saving me."

"I'm going to turn you into my coat."

"What!" Red Ape cried.

Green Wolf ignored his babbling and charged through the prison. Her kinetic energy twisted off of her, taking the shape of dozens of wolves, which tore the building around her down. It had been a large prison built at the edge of the city, but now it was nothing more than rubble. As she came crashing outside, the entire prison shattering in the process, she was forced to form a large barrier around herself as a red beam of energy blasted down from the sky. Green Wolf felt a wave of annoyance as she saw what was happening throughout the city.

All-out war.

Hundreds of different villains were running around trying to attack anything that got near them, including other villains. Giants stomped around and somehow were both destroying and fixing the city up at the same time. Finally, metal suits blasted through the air, sending out waves of energy.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me! Even when Battery isn't here, he somehow still screws me over. God, I can't wait to kill him!" Green Wolf huffed out and kicked a rock, using a wave of kinetic energy to send it blasting through several villains' heads.

Her plan had been simple. She swarmed Lillian with a ton of clones, using them all to distract the Giants so she could swoop in and tear her way into a prison that was within the city. Since Boy Genius was shut down, all the Supers that were captured were either placed into the stomachs of Giants or thrown into normal cells. Normally, it'd be difficult to even break into a normal prison since Battery's Giants were nearby, but with her clones keeping them busy, it was easy.

The main issue she was now running into, though, was the other villains. Battery's declaration of war had caused a massive crime spree. One that was not winning. The Hero Branch had stepped up their game, bringing in tons of heroes, and worse yet, several of the Enforcers were back. Even as the villains raged through the city trying to take over, they were rapidly captured or killed. Not to mention the second strongest hero was back...

Throughout the skies, thousands of robots flew around, sending out beams of lasers that shredded through the villains all across the world. They had all thought Battery's Giants were the worst things out there, an endless army of warriors that wouldn't stop, but it turns out Boy Genius was the real threat. His robots would usually run out of power rapidly, but these ones had been built to suck up the energy coming off of the Giants, turning the Imginary energy into fuel. In other words, the scary armor just got bigger and became a whole lot worse.

"I'm sorry, but did I hear someone say they hate Battery?" Green Wolf groaned when she heard the childish voice, and she dropped Red Ape, increasing the strength of her barrier. "Because, I've got to say, looking back on it, sir, you had several chances to slay him but dropped the ball." In the air, hidden behind a swarm of the robots, a large golden throne began to gently float down. Dozens of robotic arms were attached to it, swatting at any airborne villain that got too close or blocking stray attacks. Seated on the throne, still in his little suit and sipping on his juice box, was Boy Genius. Considered by everyone to be the second strongest Super, just after the Victorian. "Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed in you, Green Wolf."

"Yeah, I'm not about to hear some squeaker insult me." Green Wolf swung her sword out again, launching a wave of energy, but it bounced off of a barrier that formed around Boy Genius's throne. "Seriously! Hacks! How are you even here? Your stupid prison fell into the ocean and was swallowed by Alien!"

"I already planned for Battery to get Beta on his side." Boy Genius explained casually. "See, several villains would have stayed hidden if I was still out in the open, but now I got the chance to deal with a lot of you personally and get to show my new creations off." He gestured to the many flying suits. Most were generic-looking, made of pure steel, and in the shape of a person. They had glowing eyes and launched out pure heat that twisted into thin lasers that moved at light speeds to shred anything that got in their way. "I loathe to admit it, but I was truly only able to get these things to work thanks to Battery. These things would die way too quickly out in the field, but thanks to him and his Giants, I've managed to get them to work finally. Imagine how easy stopping crime will be from now on. Thousands of these things will be able to stay in every city, watching and waiting! And unlike his Giants, they can go anywhere in the city!"

"Great, because villains didn't have it hard enough." Green Wolf huffed. "Someone needs to patch this DLC!"

"I, too, am a bit of a gamer." Boy Genius grinned and shifted in his chair. "Let's see if PVP is on."

"Wait a second-" Green Wolf's barrier shook as dozens of those orange lasers were launched her way. Cracks appeared along her shield, and then a second later, the lasers broke through, littering her body with holes. She crashed onto the ground, leaking red, and gasped.

"Guess it's on!"

"Wow!" Red Ape stared down in mild horror at the corpse of Green Wolf. "That is one evil kid."

"All kids are evil." Red Ape jumped when he heard the voice, and he turned, finding a second Green Wolf walking forward in her usual suit and mask getup. "Annoying bastard. I won't be able to bust you out if he's here."

"You care that much about me?" Red Ape asked hopefully.

Green Wolf swung her sword, casually slicing off one of Red Ape's toes, causing him to scream and grab at his foot. She turned her attention back to Boy Genius and stood on the corpse of her other self. "Why don't we call a truce?" She hollered up toward the hero.

Boy Genius shook his head. "No. I don't make deals with scum."

"Well, fuck you, too." Green Wolf managed to get out before she was split in two by a laser that went across her face. As she split open, a third Green Wolf stepped through the corpse and swung out at the robots, but just like the chair, they all had those annoying barriers. "Seriously." Green Wolf clicked her tongue and made a face. "This guy is so cheating."

"Says the girl with infinite lives." Boy Genius taunted.

"Oh, she doesn't have an infinite amount of lives!" A new voice announced. Green Wolf looked up just in time to see a fist of one of the Giants come down, smashing through her barrier and turning her into red mist. The force of the attack sent Red Ape flying back, and the villain cried out as he tumbled. When he got back up on his feet, he found himself looking up at Purrfect. The cat-themed hero stood on top of a Giant's head and had her arms folded, a large grin on her face. "She has a limited number of lives."

Boy Genius looked a little shocked to see the hero and raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you one of Battery's sidekicks? You're part of the new Pantheon team?"

"Yep-" Purrfect spoke up before she was suddenly sliced to bits by a Green Wolf that appeared on the other side of the street. Just as Green Wolf was about to cheer, a second Purrfect appeared behind her and sliced her. Purrfect's claws shimmered and went through the kinetic barrier, tearing Green Wolf's head off. "As I was saying before, she rudely interrupted me! Yep! I'm Battery's number one student!"

"How the hell did you do that!" Green Wolf shouted as another clone jumped out from an alleyway. A second and third followed, but they froze as three more Purrfects landed behind the first Purrfect. "No fair! I'm the only one with clones! What gives!"

Purrfect giggled and winked, and her claws grew sharper. "Sorry, puppy, but I was doing this before you."

"No, you weren't!"

"Yeah, I was," Purrfect poked her tongue out. "And since I do have a cloning power, I know exactly how yours works!"

"You bitch!"

"Hey, you're the one dressed up as a dog, girlie, if anyone is a bitch, it'd be you."

"I'm a wolf, dumbass!"

"You want a dog treat?"

"I'm going to skin you, you stupid cat!"

Boy Genius watched the display with a blank expression. It seems that cats and dogs never get along, even in the world of Supers.

Purrfect's grin grew, and she charged forward, clashing with the Green Wolf clones. Green Wolf didn't have the power to clone herself and was using Doc for that, but the fact the clones existed at all and had the same power as the original was enough to tell Purrfect what she needed to know.

Powers came from the Ego, also known as the soul. If each clone could think for itself and interact, it'd need a soul, and if it had the same power as Green Wolf, that meant it'd need Green Wolf's soul on top of that. Making a soul wasn't easy, and copying one was even harder. Even the Emperor and the Lord of Life struggled to make new souls, their products always coming out corrupted and glitched, causing the victims to turn into monsters. That meant Doc wasn't creating new souls or cloning souls, allowing the bodies to stay up. Instead, what they were doing was way simpler.

All bodies had the same soul. One that was split up between the bodies. That meant there had to be a limit to how many bodies there could be. After all, the soul was still an object, one that existed of energy, and thus could only be split a certain number of times. If each body got an even portion of the soul, it meant there could, in total, only be one hundred bodies up at a time. Whenever a Green Wolf dies, the shard of that soul is evenly distributed across the remaining ones. Once the numbers were reduced to a certain limit, Green Wolf could then return to Doc when her final body had its full soul back and have him break it down and do the process all over again, making another batch of clones. This meant that as long as several Green Wolfs survived, it'd actually be impossible to make any new clones, since the Doc would need the full soul to work with.

Purrfect knew all of this because it was how her own power worked, at least in a way. Her ability gave her the power to come back several times throughout the day. She could self-revive up to nine times, but then would have to recharge her power. The way it worked was that when she died, her soul would instantly repair itself, using up a life, and since the body and soul are linked, when her soul was fixed up, so would her body. Battery taught her how to invert her power, though, and so instead of self-reviving, she gained the ability to shatter her soul rather than fix it, breaking it up and making her clones. Just like Green Wolf, she was limited to exactly one hundred copies, and she would need all but one of her to die so that the last one standing would regain all the shards in order to come back.

Battery taught her this skill by using his Imginary energy to mimic the same energy of a soul and force her to unlock this specific skill of Inversion. He had gotten the idea after seeing the villain Ghost in action. Ghost was once a member of team Bad Timers, one who could also make clones and also limited to one hundred, which was how they figured out how many times a soul could properly be split before it started to gain side effects.

"You guys ruined everything!" Green Wolf howled, and she tore her sword through three Purrfects. "I was going to save Red Ape and get a cool buff!"

"Oh yeah?" Purrfect giggled and pounced on a Green Wolf, choking it to death. "What can that guy do?"

"Like I'd tell you!"

"Okay, I'll just kill him then."

"Don't you fucking dare!" Green Wolf waved her hand, sending more kinetic energy blasting out. "If anyone deserves to kill that guy, it's me! I had to put up with him for years."

Purrfect dropped from a nearby roof and landed on the balls of her feet like a cat. "Well, it really doesn't matter. You're not getting him out of here as long as we heroes are here. You villains lost and haven't even been able to kill a single civilian yet, and with both Battery's and Boy Genius's soldiers repairing the city, it will be more than easy now. All you guys did was let us show off a new strength we've gained!"

"I think you just became my least favorite hero, you damn Pussycat." Green Wolf chuckled. "I'm getting seriously annoyed at you."

Purrfect just grinned and shrugged casually. "That's a shame, 'cause I'm having a lot of fun. I haven't gotten to do much yet, despite being so important! What better way to show how cool I am than putting a bitch like you in her place?"

"This isn't even a battle anymore, they're just calling each other rude nicknames..." Boy Genius muttered, still watching the display. It was a bit amusing watching the two small fries duke it out. His attention was taken away from the fighting girls over to his watch when it began to glow. "Yeah? What's up?" The image of Beta appeared on his watch, and even though Beta was a machine, he could tell something was wrong right away. "What's the report, Beta?"

"He's losing," Beta said simply.

Boy Genius sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Seriously? Shit. I knew something like this was going to happen. Okay, move to plan B."

"You mean the sealing plan, sir?"

"That's right."

"And what of the heroes trapped in the realm?"

Boy Genius frowned softly and felt a twinge of guilt. "Yeah. It'll suck losing the Victorian, but I don't think she's needed anymore. Now that I've studied Battery's Giants, I think I can freely recreate the energy. We don't even need him. You and I should be more than strong enough to protect the world."

"What about when the Beast comes?"

"That's the only issue." Boy Genius sighed. "We'll take a hit and lose at least three cities. That's how long it will take for the next four Lords to be located once all the ones in the realm die. With my robots, we should be able to find them quickly and train them up, and with you, plus them, and my new creations, we'll be able to stop the Beast. I normally wouldn't want to resort to this, but we don't have a choice. My ideal goal was Battery winning and coming out with the Victorian, but his arrogance is what caused it. He was a fool for thinking he could win all on his own. I'm fighting for the future. A better world. Under my guidance, we'll be able to recover and fix everything!"

"You sound happy, sir."

"Do I?" Boy Genius sat back down, masking a grin. "Whoops. I guess I should feel a little sad."

Back down in the streets, Purrfect rammed herself directly into Green Wolf. She wrapped her arms around the other girl and sent them both smashing through a wall of a nearby building. Yelling echoed through the tower they were in, and Purrfect looked up, finding dozens of Hero Branch officers. She had just sent herself and Green Wolf into a Hero Branch tower. Before she even got a chance to try and explain what was happening, the soldiers opened fire on her and Green Wolf. The bullets bounced off of her flesh, not harming her, but as they rammed into Green Wolf, it caused the villain to laugh as she started to build up a wave of kinetic energy.

"Boom." Purrfect felt a wave of pain, and then she popped as her body was vaporized from the inside out by the amount of energy Green Wolf forced into her. "Stupid cat." Green Wolf cackled, and she stood back up and began to dust herself off.

More of the soldiers unloaded their bullets into her, but there wasn't anything they could do. "G- Get her the hell out of here!" Hiding behind a desk, covered in advanced armor made to keep him safe, was Director Ward. The suit he wore was bronze and looked sort of like knight armor but had dozens of blue circles all across it, which glowed with a bright energy. The man's teeth kept clattering together, and he looked utterly terrified as Green Wolf set her eyes on him. The villain swung her sword out, sending a wave of energy his way, and he cried, nearly wetting himself, but his suit activated and whirled to life, putting a bubble of energy over him. "H- Ha!" The director cheered as his barrier stood tall, keeping him safe. Green Wolf cocked her head to the side and giggled. "What's so funny?" Ward demanded.

"Aren't you that guy who hates Supers?" Green Wolf asked curiously. "I've seen you on the news a whole lot, and you're always yelling about how Supers should all go die. It makes me wonder why you even became a director for the Hero Branch."

Ward's eyes narrowed, and he took a step back as more of his soldiers rushed in, throwing everything they had at the villain. "And what if I am?"

"I find it a bit odd why you're wearing a suit made by a Super."

Ward looked down at his suit, and his nose twitched in disgust. "I'll admit. I hate this suit. It's to keep me safe from brutes like you, though!"

Green Wolf just giggled and began to stalk forward. "There's a fun little fact about Super tech. Did you know it has a short battery life?"

"What?" Ward's face instantly paled.

"Yep." Green Wolf lifted her sword and brought it down on the barrier. She began to hit it over and over again, and beneath her mask, her smile grew. "A suit like this won't last. I wonder how many hits it will take before it shuts off and leaves you wide open!"

"S- Stop her, you idiots!" Ward screamed. A few of his soldiers charged forward, but Green Wolf put her own barrier up, stopping them from reaching her.

"One." She sliced the barrier. "Two." Another slash. "Three." A crack formed, and Ward whimpered. "Four." The barrier began to shimmer rapidly. "Five." The barrier shattered, leaving Ward standing there defenseless. "Well, you're not the person I want to kill the most in the world, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to spilling your guts." Green Wolf hummed and raised her sword. Ward collapsed out of fear, his suit shutting off fully, making it impossible for him to even move. "Maybe I should start at the feet and work my way up? You know, cut you all up nice and slow? Turn you into a bunch of mini Wards? Or would you rather you not die at all?"

"Die!" Ward screamed at her.

"No, see, silly, that's what you're going to be doing-" Before she could bring her sword down, Purrfect came crashing back in and easily tore through the barrier Green Wolf had created. She grabbed Green Wolf by the hair and tugged on it, dragging the girl with her. "Ow! Hey, not the hair!" Purrfect ignored the villain and picked up her speed until they were halfway down the street. She then threw her arm out, sending Green Wolf flying. Green Wolf smashed back first into a brick wall and slammed through it, groaning. "Geez, you're no fun. Why didn't you just wait till I killed that guy?"

"You know it's over for you." Purfecft hissed. "Why are you still fighting?"

"Because I like to do a bit of trolling." Green Wolf stood back up and dusted herself off. "Besides, look around you. This entire city has been turned into a battleground, and this is just one of, like, eight. Or is it seven now? How many cities are even left? I can't remember."

Purrfect folded her arms and growled softly. "You're just as annoying as Battery said. It's not fun anymore. We've killed each other dozens of times now. Do you really wanna do this till we're both out of lives?"

Green Wolf let out a soft hum and seemed to think about it for a moment. "Perhaps." Then she shook her head. "Nah. The truth is, this is just wasting all the energy I built up, and it's a lose-lose with you and Boy Genius around." Green Wolf rammed her sword into her stomach. "We'll call it a draw, okay, Pussycat?"

"Sure, I'm fine with that, bitch."

All around the city, dozens of Green Wolfs stabbed through themselves, all dropping. In no time at all, every Green Wolf died. All but one. Green Wolf opened her eyes and stared up at the bunker, letting out a grunt. "Get more of the clones ready."

"What happened to the other ones?" Doc demanded.

"Dead."

"How!"

"Killed themselves."

"Why!"

Green Wolf shrugged. "Oh right, you're blind, forgot you can't see that. I had to prove a point to a cat."

"What?" Doc shook his head and sighed. "Well, did you at least get Red Ape? My God, I can't believe I just said that..."

Green Wolf snickered. "Nah, didn't get him."

Doc grunted and kicked the wall out of annoyance. "We can't improve your clones without him, you know."

Red Ape, despite everything, was actually a little important to Green Wolf's plan. At first, his power seemed like it was just the ability to turn animals into monsters, but that wasn't actually the case. Mutating animals into monsters would require creating a brand new soul, which he couldn't do since he wasn't a Lord, or anywhere close to one. His actual power involved the ability to strengthen and level up the souls of animals, which would in turn then twist and improve the bodies, which had to follow along with the upgrade the soul got. Thanks to also being Green Tiger's favorite, he was taught how to invert, and it was through this Inversion that the ability to strengthen Green Wolf's soul was able to be gained, allowing it to survive the process of being transferred to a new body with the help of Doc.

In theory, if she could get her hands on Red Ape again and bring him to Doc, he'd be able to use his Inversion to strengthen her split souls and mend them, allowing them to regrow to full size inside of each body, which would then in turn allow them to be split into one hundred more pieces. In other words, she'd be able to have an infinite number of herself out at all time, each connected and building up kinetic energy for her prime body.

Sadly, though, the heroes got in the way of her fun.

"Oh, well." Green Wolf opened and closed her fist, letting out a soft whistle. "It doesn't matter." She could feel a wave of built-up power, and she smirked. "Using Red Ape would have made everything too easy anyways. All my clones only had about ten percent of my power, yet they were nearly as strong as the old me. Something tells me I'll be fine. I'll just keep leveling myself up the old-fashioned way and grind until I can finally rematch Battery, Cinder, and the Victorian."

"Whatever makes you happy," Doc grunted, and he began to get back to work, setting up to make a dozen new clones in their small underground lab.

Back in Lillian, inside of the Hero Branch tower, Ward felt himself be pulled up on shaking legs as several of his guards surrounded him and began to lead him outside, where an armored truck was waiting for him. "We're getting you out of the city, sir!" The soldiers declared, and they literally had to carry him since his suit still didn't work.

"Please, do!" Ward yelled as the city shook from all the fighting. "Damn heroes! They're focusing on saving civilians instead of important people like me! This is all Battery's fault. If I die, tell my mom to sue him into the ground!" Ward felt his men freeze and growled, turning his head. "Why did you stop-"

He also froze when he saw who was seated on the roof of a car. A villain casually sat and glanced down at a pocket watch. The villain wore a black banker suit and looked almost fancy. Instead of flesh, he had metal, and his head was square, shaped like a robot, complete with glowing eyes and a robotic tone when he spoke.

"You're late." The Owner, also known as the leader of Hell Land, spoke up and casually glanced from his watch to Ward. "I expected more from someone like you."

"Get down, sir!" Several of the guards shoved Ward down and pulled their guns out, but the bullets simply bounced off of the Owner's metal flesh.

The robot casually stood up, and above him, several of Boy Genius's suits appeared, launching their lasers down, but the Owner side-stepped them, moving with blinding speed. He lifted his hand up, and his fingertips glowed, and he launched out his own laser, which split through the inferior robots. More came and his other hand came up. His glowing eyes flashed, one becoming blue, the other black, and he swirled his palm out, opening up a familiar blue portal, which unleashed a giant merry-go-round, of all things, which crushed more of the machines. More portals split open, and other rides began to fall out of the sky, crashing into the city. An entire rollercoaster came blasting out at one point, tearing through the street and kicking up a wave of sparks.

"Who the hell is that guy?" Ward screamed.

"No clue." A Hero Branch officer grunted. "He's not in any of our records."

"I know who he is." An older guard spat out. "No clue what his name is, but that's one of the villains that works directly with Lucifer and the Emperor. A powerful robot able to adapt and evolve rapidly. He's one of the strongest villains, not counting those two! Just our luck he's here!"

The Owner kept his rampage going, tearing through buildings, but no matter how much he destroyed, he didn't find any civilians. Just robots, Hero Branch soldiers, villains, and, of course, heroes. "Did Boy Genius evacuate the entire city? I suppose after the embarrassment of Oleander, he'd look for a way to save an entire city in case the Beast came. How cute."

"Sorry, but that wasn't me. Though I really wish I did have the way to save everybody." The Owner dodged out of the way just in time as Boy Genius's throne came crashing down. "So, even you came out to cause chaos, Owner? Shouldn't you be in Hell Land making sure your precious wonderland is working?"

The Owner tucked his arms behind his back and let out a hum. "Normally, you'd be correct. However, today is special. I was given a hefty sum of cash from both the Emperor and Lucifer. Their request was simple. Rampage. That said, I find it odd you say you aren't the one to save everyone. If not you, then who?" The Owner dodged out of the way once more as a Giant punched down toward him. "Ah, now I get it. That explains it. How smart." His eyes scanned the Giant, and despite having a robotic tone, he sounded amused. "The belly of the construct, huh?"

"Don't even think about harming any of them." Boy Genius called out, and the arms of his throne struck out, but all missed the Owner, who dodged strike after strike.

Battery's backup plan for when villains attacked was very simple. He needed a way to ensure no civilians would get hurt, so the moment all of his Giants sensed danger, they activated a protocol. Across the entire city, they opened hundreds of portals and sucked in every civilian, teleporting them into the stomach of Giants. Ones that didn't have villains trapped in them. Being eaten by one of his Giants would put a person in a state of suspended animation where they'd be frozen in place until they were spat out. By doing this, he had basically made it impossible for the civilians to get targeted since almost no villain was strong enough to crack any of his Giants open, and the ones that were strong enough were too busy battling the robots and the Enforcers that were still in the world.

Thanks to his X-ray vision, the Owner was able to see past the energy and spot all the people. "You and Battery seem to make an interesting team. Did the two of you plan all of this?" The Owner asked, jumping out of the way of dozens of different attacks, all the while looking down at his pocket watch.

"As if!" Boy Genius grunted and pressed a button. Several of his robots swarmed around him and began to fuse with his chair, combining together and layering across him. Metal unfolded and snapped into place, and in a few moments, a fifty-foot tall golden robot stood up. It had a head that glowed with two bright eyes, and a horn stabbed out the top of it. The entire metal caught on fire, being bathed in golden flames, and butterfly wings sprouted from the back of the suit, which did a pose, summoning up a shield and a lance. "I just out-planned his out-planning when he tried to out-plan my plans!" The boy announced. "Now, behold your doom! Get ready to face the Mega-Ultra-Super-Duper-Monarch-Shaker! Now! Mega-Ultra-Super-Duper-Monarch-Shaker, ready the Mega-Ultra-Super-Duper-Monarch-Shaker-Lasers!"

"Times up."

"Huh?" The giant robot instantly stopped. "What do you mean, time's up?"

The Owner tucked his watch away. "They only paid me one billion dollars each. That's only worth ten minutes of my time; I'll be taking my leave now."

"What! Come on, fight me!" The giant robot stomped its foot down.

"No."

"Please!"

"No."

"Pretty please?"

"One billion dollars."

"I'm not going to pay you; you're evil!" Boy Genius cried out. "Also, who the hell has that kind of money to drop!"

The Owner shrugged and opened up another portal. "Then I'll be taking my leave and returning to Hell Land. Before I go, though, they did ask me to do one more thing." The villain adjusted his tie and stepped through his portal. "Have fun playing with him."

As the portal closed, another one opened, this one bigger than the entire city. A massive rumble blasted out, shaking the buildings and shattering the stone, and a wave of water was unleashed, flooding the streets. A tendril as long as the entire city snaked out, and something massive began to pull its body out. It was bigger than any city in the world, and was so large its entire shadow plunged Lillian and Oleander into darkness. It looked like a mass of tendrils all bundled together around a ball-like shape, which slithered like snakes. The tendrils were covered in hundreds of eyes and mouths, which gushed out various lakes of water on their own, flooding more of the city.

Inside the cockpit of his robot, Boy Genius finished getting dressed in a leather power suit which hooked up to his machine, and he slipped on a visor over his face. He knew who this villain was. It was the other unofficial Calamity alongside Lucifer and the Owner. Alien, the father of Mars King, and a Monster who had grown and grown, becoming a threat to every city. If not for the fact he stayed asleep in the ocean, he would have been dealt with a while ago. Now, here he was, wide awake and very pissed.

The golden robot flew high into the air, going well past the clouds, which still wasn't enough to surpass Alien's height. The monster was so large, in fact, it was still attempting to roll out of the portal, which was connected directly to the ocean.
