I smiled
" Well, this morning i had to get up early to get prepared for honorable occasion." I stated first, making sure my sarcasm when saying "honorable" was heard.
" My skin was lathered with an oil gotten from lavenders that were grinded and preserved for perhaps 2(two)-3(three) months, this dress you see was made with citrus base dyes. If I move to much, I will certainly get some sort of reaction. Also, the headpiece I wear has a piece from a shark's bone that could pierce through my skull and perhaps kill me too."
" Then I guess you shouldn't be careless with your movement."
" But I guess I should."
" What?."
" The shark's bone will probably be a good fit right? Father?."
"What is that supposed to mean Athena." Father replied in a tone with my full name. That meant I had struck a nerve.
" It meant exactly what you thought it did. Afterall, isn't that better than marrying someone that I do not even know what his voice sounds like?."
He didn't say anything but stared more at me with a face that said " drop the topic and shut up" but that didn't do anything but make me more agigated.
" Answer me father. Tell me or I will throw myself about in this carriage and kill myself. Yes! Either I get struck by the shark's bone or get a skin reaction from the lavender oil and citrus dye. Maybe I should fly through the window. Perhaps that would be bett-."
" Enough Athena! Are you trying to shame me? That I can't do anything to protect you? Do you want to rub it in my face!? Well be my guest. Remind me that I am a useless father that cannot protect his own child despite all the power he owns. This alliance is for the greater good. It will stop wars erupting, and if any future leader would want to start a war from our side, knowing that their kind is there will stop them. They will be peace in the realm Athena. This is not a thing of choice but of duty." Father said without stopping his words.
"Raiden interjects and rebels me. Please Athena, do not add to my misery."
After that, there was silence in the chariot. The pegasi seemed to have flapped their wings more slowly as if listening to our conversation. I didn't dare utter a word but accept my fate. It had been done. Tomorrow for now I would be the crown princess of arkanis, a kingdom much different from mine. There was no changing that, might as well accept it. Very soon, I would be open to a much different world than mine were people would be different than me. They will be my people now.
"We are here your grace.'' The chauffeur called out after landing us safely from the ground.
Father and I stepped out from the chariot when 2(two) people awaited us.
I took a moment to look at my surroundings.
I had finally arrived at arkanis.
The buildings were kind of similar yet with a different touch to it.It wasn't too ancient or modern,the buildings glimmered with lights but there were still street lights,the stars were occupied all over the sky. The sky was king of golden with white shimmers scattered around. There were different flowers decorated everywhere. I saw people floating about on the air, some were slowly while some were frantically. People looked way different from the way people did back home. They looked more.....what's the word shiny? Was it due to their powers or that's how their appearance normally is?. It was evening so I wondered what their clouds looked.The place looked like those expensive places that you would keep yourself on your toes to make sure you don't break anything. It was beautiful.

When the man introduced himself I felt an odd vibe from him. I do not like him so I will come him thing. In my head. He also had this look of arrogance that made me want to slap it of his face.He was ginger haired and looked like a hairless vulture. You might ask if he is hairless how do I know he is ginger-haired. Well, he has this disgusting dirty looking beard on his face. I haven't even stepped foot in the palace and I'm already disgusted. Wonderful.
'' I am Angelica Bravestone I will be your lady in waiting.'' The woman said with a smile on her face. warmth filled her chest as the woman looked at her she adored the woman's beauty. The woman was brown skin with plumped lips, sapphire almond eyes, caramel skin that glowed glowed under the lights and long curly hair that she had packed up in a sleek bun.She was stunning.
Father said a brief greeting of gratitude and acknowledgement and gave me a look to encorageme to do same.
" Thank you for welcoming us."
" We will lead you to your rooms. The crown prince isn't around currently. He would have loved to be here the moment you both arrived. So, he sends his greetings. You will definitely meet him tomorrow." Angelica replied. That sounded like the biggest lie I have ever heard in my life. It sounded more like " I have better things to do than to meet my father-in-law and my fiancee" There, much better. If only people where more honest.
They lead us into the palace and I was first taken aback. The vast display of wealth and elegance struck me. The stairs,details and displays were beautiful. Though the palace looked cold. Not of people but, of real raw emotions. I noticed that that despite they had the power of flight, they didn't do that often in the palace but walked with their feet. But it still looked like they were floating though.
Miss Angelica and thing escorted me to my bedroom after dropping my father off into his. The bedroom was huge. It was almost as big as my bedroom back home with sofas a part of the bedroom.I was grateful for the large windows which showed the view of the starry sky,I stepped in the bathroom and it had white and gold touch to it. It was more grand and huge than the one I had at home.
" If you need anything,ring the bell and I will be on my way." Angelica informed with with a wide smile and left with thing.
I sat on bed looked around,I noticed a balcony, it was guided by two doors,it also had a chair with a foot rest in it. There would certainly be a library, l would get books and read them in the balcony while observing other people's life in the palace. This was going to be how life will from now on. At least it came with a queen sized bed and butlers. I went back into the bathroom and looked in the mirror.
I had dark skin,plump lips, almond eyes and wild curly hair that broke combs everyday. Growing up I always saw my looks as basic, I wasn't confident about my looks. Though as I grew older I couldn't help but love my looks too. I felt what really made me attractive where my piercing dark green eyes. When I looked into eyes in mirrors I couldn't help but stare more, due to how alluring my eyes looked.
The wedding was tomorrow, the palace had already sent people to get a look at me to know personal details. Things like my weight,height and tailoring requirements to sew my wedding gown.
I hope the wedding gown looks very good, it would be better if there was gold on it. I would love that. I wandered around trying to distract myself from the truth. Was this really going to be happening? There was no way out? I don't know if I had expected something or some way out but, with the way things are going there was no way out
I felt disappointment in father and mother for standing by and not doing anything. I felt disappointed in my self for thinking that someone could do something.
