Grace sighed. She had no choice but to suppress her curiosity. But a whole day?! It was too torturous to wait. she could only resort to coaxing him. "At least a hint. Please… darling."
"Alright," Jace couldn't resist the warmth in his heart at the endearment she'd used. Even if it was to pry the truth out of him, he didn't mind. "It's somewhere out of town but not far. A hint, you said," Jace quickly added when he saw Grace's mouth open in readiness for a follow up question.
How useful was that? Grace grumbled. Nonetheless she was glad she'd be spending some time alone with him later in the evening but where and how…she didn't know. It was his surprise.
Jace always had a way of coming up with surprises and like always he has finally succeeded in piquing her interest and diverting her attention from the matters of the royal household with this surprise.
