Indeed, shortly after Musheng dried his hair, Annie arrived at Rachel's apartment.

Musheng had just finished drying her hair when she heard Rachel greeting Annie warmly outside, "Hi, Annie, it's been such a long time."
It was clear that Rachel's warmth towards Annie didn't develop overnight.
Annie's voice remained as cool and indifferent as ever to outsiders, "Yes, Rachel, where is Karen?"
She asked directly, as if she couldn't even be bothered to feign interest, nor did she feel this attitude would embarrass Rachel. Luckily, Rachel didn't find it awkward at all and quickly replied, "She's in the living room, just finished showering and is drying her hair."
Rachel's apartment had two living rooms, front and back.
Shortly after Musheng heard their voices, she heard the crisp clacking of high heels on the floor, as if the person walking could turn the sounds into a symphony of delightful notes.
