Just a few months without seeing each other, and Jayden's mom had become so thin that she was almost unrecognizable. Deep wrinkles now marked her face, and the once gentle eyes had lost their luster, appearing listless.
"Mom, you and my elder brother and sister have been worrying so much about dad's affairs. We couldn't help you, nor did we want to add to your troubles, so we just quietly came over," Nana said.
Nana pulled out a tissue and gently wiped the tears from Jayden's mom's eyes.
"Look at you guys, now that you're home why stay in a hotel? Pack your things and come home with mom," she said.
Jayden's mom knew that once she convinced Nana, her son Jayden would obediently follow, so she didn't even bother to ask for Jayden's opinion.
"Mom, we were planning on heading back tonight," Nana said.
Staying one more or less day in the Capital didn't make much difference to Nana.
