The darkened sky loomed above, cloaked in a stillness that seemed to settle upon the world like a heavy shroud. Two figures cut through the air high above the clouds, their wings slicing through the silence.
The first, a sleek and powerful dragon with deep green scales that glimmered like polished emeralds, led the way. The younger of the two, a brilliant blue dragon with scales that sparkled like sapphires, turned his head to the larger, green-scaled dragon flying beside him.
The blue dragon's eyes darted around, scanning the landscape below. We haven't heard from him in weeks. I hope everything is alright, the blue thoughts projected to the green dragon, filled with worry.
He has always been a bit of a recluse, young one. Especially since you said he had a human with him. He would want to protect the eggs,* the green dragon hummed.
But it is unusual for him to remain silent for this long, he added as an afterthought, his tone measured and thoughtful.
