Olivia gazed down at the severed head in her hand, the head guard's lifeless eyes staring back at her. She wondered how long Arthur would take to finish his business with Jimmy.
Time seemed to slow down in the dimly lit dungeon, the only sound being the faint dripping of water somewhere in the distance.
As she looked up, her eyes locked onto a figure emerging from the shadows. Arthur's imposing form strode towards her, his long black hair a wild tangle around his chiseled features. His caramel-hued skin seemed to glow in the faint light, and his eyes, those piercing, glowing amber eyes burned with an inner fire.
Arthur's tall, muscular frame seemed to radiate power, his broad shoulders and chest a testament to his unnatural strength. However, his appearance was marred by the tattered and worn clothing that hung from his body, a constant reminder of his slave status.
Grime and dirt coated his skin, and his hair was matted with dust and debris. Yet, despite the wear and tear, his beauty shone through, a testament to his inner strength and resilience.
Olivia's gaze was drawn to the blood splattered across Arthur's arms; his claws still stained with the evidence of his recent battle. Her own appearance was similarly worn and weary. Her long, creamy white hair cascaded down her back like a river of moonlight, though it was dulled by the dirt and dust that coated it.
Her glowing pink eyes shone like beacons in the dim light, illuminating her heart-shaped face and delicate features. Despite her average height, she exuded a quiet strength and determination. Her tattered and worn clothing seemed to be on the verge of ripping apart, a testament to her own slave status.
As Arthur approached, Olivia felt an unsettling chill run down her spine. She stood before the door, her hand reaching out to grasp the icy handle. The cold seemed to seep into her bones, despite the fact that she hadn't yet opened the door. A shiver danced across her skin as she sensed the frozen wasteland that lay beyond.
" Took you long enough. We are currently on the forty-ninth floor, for some reason it looks like they didn't try to clear the rest of the dungeon so we just have to keep going till we reach the last floor and if we manage to clear it, we will be able to get out from there," Olivia said, her voice steady despite the growing unease within her. She held out Scarface's head, her eyes never leaving Arthur's face. "So shall we proceed?"
Arthur's gaze flickered to the head, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "After you, my dear," he said, his deep voice low and husky.
As they were talking the rest of the beast-born slaves just sat on the ground waiting for the other guards from the higher floors to come their eyes dull and dead.
Together, they stood before the door, the cold emanating from it like a dark, icy breath. With a deep breath, Olivia grasped the handle and pulled the door open, revealing the frozen abyss that lay beyond.
As soon as the gate opened a blistering cold struck them chilling them to the core, but something didn't feel right like this cold wasn't supposed to be there like it wasn't natural
Right as they walked through the gate it soddenly closed right behind them but before they could find out why they heard the sound of deep growling there eyes followed the sound and what they saw before them was a pack of ten wolflike beast.
They were at least as big as a small hut each their fur was as white as the snow they were surrounded by, they had sharp teeth poking out of their mouths that looked like they could tear through steel around their necks was sharp spikes of ice.
Arthur's eyes narrowed, his gaze sweeping across the pack as he sized them up. His nails extended into claws, the tips glinting in the faint light.
Olivia stood right next to him her beautiful face hardening as she reached down into her shadow pulling out a long sword made of darkness that was constantly flaring almost like fire.
With a deep breath she turned to Arthur and said whoever kills more has to do one thing the other person says no matter what deal? ok bet he replied with the biggest smile on his face.
And with that they charged forward. The pack erupted into a frenzy of snarls and growls, their massive bodies hurtling towards Arthur and Olivia like living avalanches.
The air was filled with the sound of claws scraping against the Icy ground, and the heavy thud of bodies colliding.
Arthur dodged and weaved; his agility belied by his massive frame. His claws ripped through the beasts' fur, tearing into their flesh with ease. Olivia fought with the same ferocity if not more with the sword of darkness in her hand slicing through the air with a haunting whisper.
As the first beast fell before her Olivia sword bit deep into its side, and as it did, the beast's began to twist and contort, its fur receding as darkness spread through its veins like a stain.
Its hearts stopped, its body crashing to the ground with a lifeless thud. the same befell the next beast, and the next, each one falling before Olivia deadly sword like wheat before a scythe.
While Arthurs attacks were brutal and straightforward. Olivia's sword seemed to wield a dark, insidious power, one that corrupted and twisted everything it touched.
As the battle raged on, the snowy landscape became a blur of white and red, the beast bodies piling up like a charnel house finally, the last beast fell to the ground, its body crashing onto the ice with a deafening thud.
Arthur and Olivia stood panting, their chests heaving in unison. for a fleeting moment, they simply gazed at each other, their eyes locking in a silent understanding as they stood there suspended in a moment of mutual admiration.
After what felt an eternity Olivia finally broke the silence that settled between them. looks like I win by one two less than I thought but I can accept this she said with a smile that still looked beautiful even with the blood on her face that was slowly freezing due to the cold.
