"I am sorry to have separated you from your maids," the man apologized, and Astrid smiled. He didn't hear what they were whispering about, but he knew they ought to be close. Not every maid could be thay close to their master.
"They are more like my friends than maids. But that is alright, I'll meet with them again soon," Astrid said, and he nodded.
"Congratulations on your victory today," he said, and she smiled.
"That is all thanks to you and my eldest brother. So I thank you…" she left it unfinished so he could introduce himself. It was not her fault when no one dared to mention his name while they called every other person's name.
"This is hurtful, but I understand that it is partly my fault," he smiled, but Astrid didn't understand what he had just said, so she just stared at him, waiting for him to continue. "You do not know me, but I know, but I must say that our first meeting isn't what I thought it'll be."
