A few minutes earlier, Edward and Litty were looking through the new books. Edward was about to finish reading one about mana veins.
"So that's why situations like Mine's occur... The human biology of this world is even more complex than it already seemed," Edward muttered, resting a hand on his face as he closed the book.
"Well, not even in your original world do they know everything... Even I don't. There are too many irregular patterns for so many specimens," Litty said, floating over a chest of books, noticing that some were so old they were practically wrapped in dust. "Aren't these supposed to be important? Why do they let them get to this state? Just looking at them makes me afraid to touch them—they might just crumble apart..."
"From what I heard, these were found in some ruins in the dead zone," Edward replied, putting away a book that discussed the possibility of altering the surrounding area by directly interfering with mana particles.
