"My dear Jiaaaaaaa!!!"
Yang Bingqing rushed to her side and completely enveloped Jia in her hug.
"Finally you are here! I waited so long for this day!" She sniffled. "Mingshen can be so slow."
Mingshen frowned. "Maybe I got that from you."
She sneered. "No chance. I confessed to your father the same day I met him and we got married soon after. You didn't get speed from me."
Yang Cheng, listening from the side, refused to comment.
Jia trembled in the warmth of her embrace and felt at a loss. "I-I am so-sorry for coming unannounced like this, Aunt. It's actually Mingshen's idea and I said that I shouldn't come here-"
"Preposterous!" Yang Bingqing gasped. "What do you mean that you shouldn't come here?" She harrumphed. "It's fine if Mingshen doesn't come back but you are the most important!"
"Jeez, thanks so much for that unconditional motherly love, Mom," he dryly commented.
She glared. "Nobody is asking you so shoo!"
