Little Garden
The ground shook beneath Luffy's feet as he ran through the forest, a loud, excited laugh escaping his lips.
"Shishishishi! You're fast, but not as fast as me!"
The deafening roar of the dinosaur echoed through the forest, shaking the giant trees. Its heavy footsteps crushed everything in its path.
THUD! THUD! THUD!
Luffy glanced back, the smile still plastered on his face despite the creature's proximity. 'This one's bigger than I thought!'
"You're hungry, huh? But I'm not food!"
He leaped onto a nearby tree, easily grabbing onto a high branch. The dinosaur, unable to stop in time, crashed into the massive trunk.
CRASH!
"Shishishishi! You're as clumsy as Zoro!"
Luffy swung from the branch and launched himself to the ground, landing with a soft thud. The creature shook its head, trying to regain its balance, and shot a fierce glare in his direction.
"Ah, so you still want to play? Alright, your turn to catch me!"
He darted through the forest again, dodging branches and fallen logs with agile movements. The dinosaur roared once more, resuming the chase.
ROAR!
Luffy laughed, looking up at the clear sky peeking through the giant leaves.
"I never thought dinosaurs would be so much fun!"
He jumped over a rock and slid down a moss-covered slope. The sound of the dinosaur's heavy breathing and the impact of its giant footsteps continued behind him.
BOOM!
BOOM!
"If you want to play, you'll have to run faster!"
He suddenly stopped in a clearing, turning to face the creature with a wide grin. His eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Want to see who's stronger now?"
The dinosaur roared again, charging at full force. Luffy leaned forward, fists ready.
"Come on, big guy!"
THUD! THUD! THUD!
The ground shook with each step of the dinosaur. Luffy charged forward with a confident smile, fists clenched as the wind blew around him.
"Gomu Gomu no…!"
Before he could finish, a sharp sound filled the clearing.
SWISH!
Suddenly, the dinosaur's head was severed from its body, falling heavily to the ground with a deafening crash.
BOOM!
Luffy froze in place, watching the creature's body slowly collapse. He looked up, following the movement of a massive blade that still gleamed in the sunlight.
"Hey! I was about to beat it!"
A deep, echoing laugh filled the air.
"Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho! It's been a while since I've seen one of you little ones around here."
Luffy turned, facing the colossal figure of a giant. He wore rugged, Viking-like warrior attire, with a helmet that hid his eyes and a long beard that swayed in the wind. The giant sword rested on his shoulder.
Luffy tilted his head, his eyes shining with curiosity. "Wow, you're huge!"
Dorry laughed again, the clearing trembling with his voice. "And you're tiny! What's your name, little one?"
"I'm Luffy! And I'm going to be the King of the Pirates!"
Dorry raised an eyebrow, surprised by the boy's confidence. "King of the Pirates, huh? Ho Ho Ho! You've got guts, I'll give you that."
Without warning, Luffy stretched his arm, grabbing the edge of Dorry's helmet. The giant's eyes widened as the boy was launched into the air, stopping right in front of his face.
"You're a real giant! This is amazing!" Luffy laughed as he dangled in the air.
"Ho Ho Ho! You're a strange one, little guy!" Dorry carefully held Luffy between his fingers, bringing him closer. "And it seems you have a curious power. What is that, magic?"
"Nope, I ate a Devil Fruit! Now my body's made of rubber!"
Dorry laughed loudly again, shaking his head. "Rubber? What a peculiar power! Little rubber boy, it seems you love adventure!"
Luffy grinned widely, his eyes sparkling. "I love adventures! What about you? What are you doing here?"
Dorry gently placed Luffy on the ground, resting his sword on his shoulder. "Me and another giant have been here for a hundred years. An endless duel, all because of our pride as warriors of Elbaf."
"A hundred years? That's amazing! It must be so much fun!" Luffy bounced around excitedly.
"Ho Ho Ho! Maybe for you, little one. For me, it's just another day of battle."
Luffy paused for a moment, looking at the decapitated body of the dinosaur.
"But you didn't have to kill my dinosaur. He was my opponent!"
Dorry let out a laugh that echoed through the forest, making the leaves shake.
"To make it up to you, how about I offer you some meat?"
Luffy stopped complaining immediately. His eyes sparkled like stars, and he started jumping with excitement.
"Meat? Really? That's awesome!"
Dorry smiled, picking up the dinosaur with one hand and effortlessly tossing the giant body over his shoulder.
"Let's head to my camp. There, I can prepare something worthy of a warrior of Elbaf... and a little rubber boy like you."
Luffy followed the giant, practically bouncing with joy. 'This is going to be the best barbecue ever!' His thoughts were consumed by the smell and taste he imagined.
As they walked through the dense forest, the sound of Dorry's heavy footsteps made the ground vibrate. Luffy ran around, trying to keep up with the giant's pace, but constantly veered off to observe other creatures that appeared among the trees.
....,..
The sun shone brightly over the Going Merry, while the sea breeze alleviated the heat. Nami and Vivi were sitting near the main mast, talking.
"So, Alabasta is suffering from a lack of rain across the entire kingdom?" Nami looked at Vivi with a serious expression, adjusting her hat.
"Yes, people are getting desperate. Many believe the rebellion will destroy the country before we can even resolve it." Vivi sighed, her gaze lost on the horizon.
'No one should have to go through this. Alabasta needs help, and fast,' Nami thought, before crossing her arms and facing her friend. "We'll figure this out. Luffy might be an idiot sometimes, but he always keeps his promises."
Karoo, beside her, let out an enthusiastic "Quack!" flapping his wings as if in agreement. Vivi laughed, patting the duck's head. "Thank you, Nami. You've already done so much for me."
Suddenly, a sharp, distinct sound filled the air.
"Caw! Caw!"
Nami immediately looked up, frowning. "What was that?"
"Caw!"
The sound grew closer, and Usopp, who was at the bow with a pair of binoculars, froze. He slowly lowered the binoculars, his eyes wide.
"Ah... ah... it's Peterogatics!" His voice came out as a scream.
"Peterogatics?" Nami stood up, narrowing her eyes at the sky. "You mean that flock of giant birds that live in the Grand Line?"
Usopp started backing away, tripping over a barrel. "Yes! They're wild, aggressive birds, and... and..." He swallowed hard, pointing at the sky. "And they're heading straight for us!"
Vivi stood up abruptly, alarmed, while Karoo let out an alert "Quack!" and hid behind her. Nami looked up and saw the flock of gigantic birds flying over the ship, their massive wings partially blocking the sun.
SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!
The creatures began diving toward the ship, their claws extended and eyes focused.
"They're going to attack us!" Nami grabbed her Clima-Tact, preparing to defend herself.
"We're surrounded! We're surrounded!" Usopp screamed, running in circles on the deck. 'I knew this island was cursed!'
Karoo let out a loud "Quack!" and ran behind Vivi, trembling with fear.
"Stay together! We need to protect the ship!" Vivi brandished a small dagger, her eyes fixed on the flock of birds now almost upon them.
CAW! CAW!
One of the birds dove toward Nami. She jumped to the side, dodging the sharp claws, and struck with the Clima-Tact, creating a gust of air that pushed the creature away.
"This is going to be harder than I thought!" Nami retreated, trying to gain some space.
A second bird lunged at Usopp, who tripped and fell on his back. "Don't eat me! I'm not tasty!"
The bird opened its claws to grab him, but before it could reach him, a deep, heavy sound echoed through the forest.
THUD. THUD. THUD.
Everyone froze. 'What is that?' Nami thought, her eyes wide.
The birds hesitated for a moment, their heads turning toward the sound. The footsteps grew louder, closer.
THUD. THUD.
Suddenly, a giant hand broke through the treetops, grabbing one of the birds mid-air. A shrill scream cut through the silence.
CAW!
The bird struggled uselessly as the giant hand crushed it with ease. Nami and Vivi looked up, their eyes wide as the colossal figure emerged from the forest.
"Who... what is that?!" Nami instinctively stepped back, gripping the Clima-Tact tighter.
The giant, wearing a red jumpsuit and a horned helmet, looked at the flock with a wide grin. Without ceremony, he stuffed the captured bird into his mouth, chewing loudly.
CRUNCH! CRUNCH!
"Ho Ho Ho! These birds are as tasty as I remembered!"
Usopp was speechless, pointing at the giant with a trembling hand. "It's... it's a giant! We're dead!"
Karoo hid behind Vivi again, letting out a low "Quack!" of terror.
Brogy took another step toward the ship, his imposing presence making the deck tremble. He reached out and grabbed two more birds mid-flight, crushing them effortlessly.
"You little ones seem to be in trouble! Don't worry, Brogy is here to help!"
He chewed another bird, looking at the crew with curiosity. Nami swallowed hard, trying to maintain her composure.
"Help? You just ate those things like they were... snacks!"
"Ho Ho Ho! They're snacks for me, little lady!" Brogy wiped his lips with his arm, the smile never leaving his face.
Vivi stepped forward, trying to contain her fear. "You're a giant from Elbaf, aren't you? What are you doing here?"
Brogy placed a hand on his chin, as if deep in thought. "Me and my companion have been dueling here for a hundred years. But today, I found you and a good snack! That makes the day even more interesting!"
Usopp was trembling so much he could barely speak. "He's going to... he's going to eat us after the birds!"
"I don't eat humans, little one. You're too small and... not tasty!" Brogy let out a laugh that made the leaves around them shake.
Nami still held the Clima-Tact, her eyes assessing the giant. 'If he wanted to attack us, he would have done so already. But still, we can't let our guard down.'
