Buying some meat from the street vendors, both she and Cupcake managed to find something good to eat at the beginning of the day.
Money was a little tight, as she didn't want to spend the next night's money on the hotel. "Hey boy, I think I'm starting to understand this place better...These people looking like animals are very familiar to me." The cartoonish way those humanoid animals looked was hard to escape. With a few questions, she ended up finding out a lot.
Apparently, a tournament called the World Martial Arts Tournament was going to take place, which made her realize a horrible truth, after all, that she was in a place she least wanted in her life. "A-ah, thanks for the information... I need to go." She seemed a little shaken. Walking with Cupcake, she would go to the park and sit on the bench. She was thoughtful about everything that she discovered that day.
Cupcake would sit close to her owner, not wanting to leave her alone. "I should be scared, angry, or even desperate, but I feel strange, happy? Excited to know about the dangers that are coming? It's a horrible feeling; it's strange to know what I should feel, but I'm having completely different emotions..." She was getting more and more confused about all of it, first it was in that park fighting a bear or when she robbed those petty thieves. She feels alive and excited, making her go towards dangers that she would have completely avoided before, who in their right mind would go against a bear? But she wasn't a very sane person from the beginning.
"You know what? I'm going to get a coffee and see if I can sell this junk." Sandra leaves, going to other parts of the street, starting to sell the objects she picked up on the street. She calculated the price of everything she bought, whether it was food or a night at the hotel, so that she could sell the items at least at a reasonable price.
Knowing that no one would buy it if it was a high price, she lowered it and started negotiating with interested people. After a few hours, the only sales she had were two wristwatches and a pocket mirror. "Grrrg..." Turning her attention to Cupcake, she noticed that he was a little apprehensive and backed away from the person who approached; they were two men apparently from animal control. "Touch him and I'll stick that net of yours where the sun doesn't shine." Along with Sandra's appearance and the more aggressive tone of her voice, those men froze in place.
They tried to talk to Sandra about the dangers of a dog like that without a muzzle on the street. "What? Are you saying that my baby could hurt someone, HUH!?" She stood up, with her height of 2.15 meters, she practically made the shadow cover that man who was beginning to shrink with fear, and with no second thought, he started running and fleeing the scene. "How dare he! Someone so kind and innocent like you would never hurt anyone!" She bent down and began to hug and pet Cupcake, who excitedly began to wag his tail.
With some money from the sale of the objects, she bought a coffee and dog treats for Cupcake to eat. Looking at the job ad, she smiled, "Hey, Ms.Sakura, you're hiring, aren't you? I'm interested in the position." The old lady named Sakura was thinking about the subject, so she decided to do a little test to see if Sandra could make coffee and serve it well. Sandra had no difficulty making a great coffee, as a person who lived alone, she perfected the art of making coffee manually, since because she always thought it was better that way than making it with a machine.
"Sandra... you're hired! This coffee is great." With a proud smile, Sandra gave a happier laugh. "I'm glad to hear that, and I live close by, it will be easy to come here." The day went by with the conversation between the two continuing.
Sakura said that Sandra would have to wear more modest clothes for work, but that she would soon get a uniform. "It makes sense, I'm not exactly a conventional height." Japan wasn't very known for having tall people, and seeing as this Dragon Ball world follows so many characteristics of the real world, that also applies to most people here.
"Sandra, you're in a hotel right now, aren't you? It must not be exactly very comfortable, What do you think about staying in the rooms up here for a while? There's enough space for one person, the only thing I ask of you is not to let Cupcake stay here during work hours, and if he makes you clean anything, okay?" She finished speaking, giving a gentle smile.
Sandra was surprised by that lady's offer, such kindness for a complete stranger? That was unusual and something she would never have imagined, but seeing that gentle and sweet expression on the woman, only one scene came to her mind.
---------☆---------
"Grandma! Grandma, look! I drew you!" A little girl with a gentle smile and a missing tooth was showing a paper in front of her, with her and an old lady drawn, in the background the sun with a smile with both in a flower field.
"How beautiful; you have a great gift for art, don't you, little one? How about a beautiful orange cake and stick this drawing on the fridge, huh?" Sandra's grandmother just smiled, stroking her hair, keeping her usual loving smile. "I know your mother would be very proud of you, wherever she is now, I'm sure she's watching over you now." With a loving hug, she left to go prepare the cake.
while Sandra just jumped for joy. "Yes! One day I'll buy a huge house for you, Grandma! A house with a huge garden for us to plant everything! Trees, flowers, and fruits!" Little Sandra said, puffing out her chest to look like an adult, only managing to get a smile from the lady near the stove.

Sandra was completely frozen in place, The image of someone she loved very much was in her head, and involuntarily tears ran down her face. "I-I'm sorry, Ms. Sakura, I don't know what came over me." She wiped her face after returning to reality, that same lady brought back her childhood memories. How ridiculous must the scene of a huge woman like Sandra crying would be?
"Don't apologize, Crying is normal and helps clear the mind. I've seen a lot of things with my age, dear, and seeing your reaction, you remembered someone you love, didn't you? She must have been very loved by you." Sakura just patted Sandra's head to comfort her. 'I see that I haven't changed as much as I thought...' Sandra's thoughts seemed to ease her heart, she just looked at Sakura, keeping a smile that, for the first time, didn't seem fierce.
