Chapter 277 - Chapter 277: Guardians of the Multiverse (7)

[Third Person's PoV]

Peter stood in the middle of a crater, his mask torn in several places, revealing one of his eyes. Blood stained his mouth, and cuts marred his face, while his suit was tattered and soaked in crimson.

Gwen and MJ immediately rushed toward him, leaping down into the crater. They found him groaning in pain, struggling to push himself up before coughing hoarsely—chunks of blood and parts of his stomach splattering onto the ground.

"Pete!"

"Tiger!"

Both of them cried out as they crouched beside him. Gwen placed her hands on him, channeling her chi to speed up his healing.

"How do you feel?" she asked, concern etched in her voice.

"Like today is definitely not my birthday…" Peter grimaced as MJ helped him to his feet. He clutched his stomach. "Or maybe it is, and I just got gifted a blast to the face from the cosmic embodiment of Power. In that case, I should probably return the favor."

Before anyone could respond, the sound of fire crackling in the sky drew their attention. They all looked up just in time to witness a breathtaking sight—Firestar had arrived.

She streaked across the battlefield like a shooting star, weaving through Ultron's Sentinels at incredible speed. Her movements left a blazing red-hot trail in the air, followed by a series of fiery explosions. Within moments, her path had formed a massive, glowing red star in the sky, and at its center, Lizzy hovered with a confident smirk.

Hands on her hips, she called out, "Sup, everyone! Ya miss me?!"

"You know it babe~!" Harry said with a teasing grin from the edge of the crater, holding the line to protect Peter while he recovered.

Lizzy flushed slightly but quickly refocused. The empty space inside the glowing star filled with concentrated heat energy. With a single sweeping motion, she sent it surging forward.

A scorching wave of heat erupted outward, engulfing the Ultron Sentinels. One by one, they ignited and melted, their circuits frying as they collapsed. Even with Stephen Strange's protective spells shielding the heroes, they could still feel the sheer intensity of the heat—it was as if a second sun had descended upon the battlefield.

In the distance, the sound of shockwaves boomed across the land.

Peter, still holding his side, turned to MJ and Gwen. "I'm gonna run this off—build up enough energy to heal myself properly. In the meantime, you guys hold Ultron down. Strange should be teleporting Gamora in with her machine soon. We need those Infinity Stones gone."

Despite his injuries, Peter started limping out of the crater. Gwen and MJ exchanged a glance and nodded, silently agreeing to his plan.

Peter gradually picked up his pace, gritting his teeth as his body sparked with electrical discharge. Dust swirled around him as he ran in a large, expanding circle, slowly turning into a blur of motion.

Thor, watching from a distance, frowned. "What in the Nine Realms is the Man-Spider?"

"He's generating energy to accelerate his healing," Strange explained. "But we need to focus—Ultron and Hulk are going to level the continent at this rate."

"Just a moment!" Thor grinned, gripping Mjolnir. "If my thunder brother needs energy, then energy he shall have!"

With a mighty swing, Thor spun his hammer, generating fierce arcs of lightning that crackled against the ground. He then thrust Mjolnir forward, sending a powerful bolt straight at Peter.

The lightning struck him head-on. His body absorbed it instantly, his speed skyrocketing. What had been a mere blur transformed into a flashing blue streak of light and raw energy.

"Thanks—"

"For the—"

"Boost!!"

Peter's voice echoed after each lap around the battlefield.

"Anytime, my thunder brother!!" Thor bellowed before turning to Strange. "Now Wizard Doctor, let's deal with the machine."

Strange nodded and conjured a portal a short distance away—closer to where Hulk and Ultron were locked in combat.

All around them, craters littered the ground, smoke rising from their depths.

Hulk and Ultron continued their battle of sheer brute force, each punch sending shockwaves across the battlefield. The Power Stone embedded in Ultron's chest pulsed violently. Chunks of debris—massive slabs of earth and stone—rose into the air before rapidly expanding in size.

Ultron swung his arm, hurling these makeshift islands at Hulk.

But the Green Goliath simply arched his back, spread his arms wide, and took a thunderous step forward. He clapped his hands together, unleashing a massive shockwave. The sheer force shattered the incoming debris into dust and smaller fragments. A low earthquake rumbled beneath him.

Hulk snarled, bent his knees, and leaped toward Ultron, who hovered high above. But before he could reach him, Ultron's hand crackled with the Power Stone's energy.

A massive beam of raw power shot downward, slamming into Hulk mid-air and sending him hurtling back to the ground, carving another deep crater.

Hulk roared in frustration, trying to push against the beam, but Ultron fired a second one, forcing him deeper into the earth. The ground caved in, threatening to swallow Hulk entirely and send him towards the center of the Earth.

Before the AI could finish the job, Mjolnir shot through the air like a comet, striking Ultron square in the chest and sending him flying back. The enchanted hammer boomeranged back into Thor's grip.

Two portals flashed open on either side of Ultron.

Gwen and MJ leaped through, each aiming to strike.

But Ultron reacted instantly. He caught both of them by their ankles mid-air and spun them around at blinding speed before brutally slamming them down.

Before they could crash into the ground, Harry swooped in on his hoverboard, barely managing to catch them both. Their combined momentum nearly sent them all spiraling out of control.

From above, Lizzy came streaking in like a meteor.

"Coming in hot!!" she shouted, her fists ablaze as she aimed straight for Ultron's face.

Ultron, unimpressed, caught her punch effortlessly.

Lizzy's eyes widened in shock.

Then came the pain.

The Power Stone's energy surged through Ultron's grip, siphoning away her heat and radiation. The fire around her flickered and died.

"Wha—" she gasped.

A sharp snap.

Lizzy screamed as Ultron crushed her wrist, bone piercing through skin.

Her agonized cry echoed across the battlefield.

Ultron had powered himself with the Power stone and broke through Strange's protection spell and snapped her hand, her broken bone piercing through her hand.

Ultron's hand shot toward Lizzy, aiming to pierce her.

However, Harry appeared with gritted teeth, his escrima sticks crackling with green chi. He swung his weapon against Ultron's arm, shattering it on impact. At the same time, a portal opened behind the machine, and Felicia leaped through, her claws slashing across his remaining arm.

Ignoring the now-armless Ultron, Harry caught Firestar in his arms and carried her away in his armor. He spoke softly, "It's alright, I got you."

Lizzy clutched her broken, bleeding hand and gave him a strained smile, tears streaming down her face. "My hero…" she teased, despite the pain, trying to reassure him.

Harry flew toward Doctor Strange, shielding the others as they leaped through multiple portals—T'Challa, Killmonger, Captain Carter, and Thor, all taking turns attacking Ultron. But Ultron effortlessly regenerated his arms, absorbing their strikes and attacking them while Strange worked to teleport everyone to safety.

"Heal her!" Harry demanded.

Meanwhile, Ultron's eyes burned with the energy he had absorbed from Lizzy. A pulse of power surged through his body as he growled, "Just perish!"

He slammed his fists into the ground, and the entire planet trembled. An explosion erupted, threatening to consume everything and everyone.

But before the devastation could spread, Stephen Strange stepped forward, raising his hands. In an instant, the almighty explosion compressed into a small sphere, which he casually swallowed. His eyes briefly flickered with flames before he waved a hand, sending a healing spell toward Lizzy. Her bones snapped back into place, her skin sealed, and her pain vanished.

Annoyed by their resilience, Ultron's power, space, and reality stones flared to life. He extended his arms and made a yanking motion—suddenly, the battlefield grew eerily silent as a massive shadow fell over them.

Everyone froze as they stared in shock. The Moon was plummeting toward them.

---

A crackling blue circle of energy illuminated the area. Lightning danced wildly around Peter, flickering across his body like phantom spider legs.

As his suit reconstructed itself, he exhaled sharply. "I think I overdid it…"

Electricity crackled uncontrollably around him, arcing off the ground in deadly bursts. Beneath his suit, blue cracks pulsed across his skin. His eyes shone with an intense, almost unnatural blue light.

"My body isn't a suitable container for all this energy. I really need to find a solution for this…" Peter muttered before his spider-sense flared.

He looked up—his eyes widening at the sight of the falling Moon.

"Oh, come on! Why can't moves be copyrighted!?"

A slow grin spread across his face.

"Actually… I think I just found the perfect place for all this excess energy."

Peter crouched down, pressing his fingers into the ground like a track runner preparing to sprint. The arcs of lightning swirled and crackled around him, singing against the air.

Then he launched forward.

The force of his takeoff sent shockwaves through the battlefield, debris flying in all directions as Peter vanished in a streak of blue light.

At the same moment, the Hulk erupted from the ground with a thunderous roar. He took in the devastation, the darkened sky, and then—his eyes locked onto the descending Moon.

"HULK!!! SPECIAL TEAM MOVE NUMBER ONE!!"

The Hulk snapped his head toward Peter. As the speedster ran, he flexed his arms—silver arm blades unsheathing from his forearms, already regenerated.

The Hulk grinned. He knew exactly what to do.

With a mighty crouch, the Hulk extended a massive hand.

Peter jumped, flipping through the air before landing perfectly in Hulk's palm.

With a roar, Hulk spun on his heels and hurled Peter toward the Moon with all his strength.

A thunderous boom echoed across the battlefield as Peter shattered the sound barrier, his body stretched into a streamlined form. His silver blades burned bright blue, supercharged with chi and raw electricity.

"HAHAHA! THIS ONE'S FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS!!!" Peter laughed wildly.

Everyone watched in stunned silence as the blue streak of light turned into a shooting star, racing toward the Moon.

Then—impact.

A blinding flash of blue light consumed the sky as massive arcs of electricity crackled across the lunar surface.

Peter drove his arm blades into the Moon, unleashing every ounce of stored chi and energy he had accumulated.

Seconds later—he burst straight through.

He pierced through one end of the Moon and exited out the other.

A cataclysmic explosion followed, shattering the Moon into countless fragments, the night sky illuminated by a storm of blue lightning and molten rock.

The battlefield fell into a stunned silence.
