A few minutes later, Naeku slowly opened her eyes again. Her expression was slightly confused as she blinked and scanned the room. She immediately frowned when she noticed the strange expressions on Erik and his family.
"What's wrong?" she asked, with a hint of worry, before focusing on Elora with a raised eyebrow. "Weren't you going to activate the sigil?"
Elora pursed her lips and, to Naeku's surprise, appeared a little guilty. It was Erik who answered with a sigh. "She did activate it, Naeku. You've already gone through it, in fact."
"Oh…" the werepanther immediately deflated, appearing devastated as she made her own assumptions about everyone's expressions. "I… I guess I didn't pass?"
Erik immediately lightened up and started to smile. "Haha, no, you did, actually!" He took a step closer and offered his hand to help her get up. "Passed with flying colours, in fact!"
