"But my merchandise is gone now," Ivanov ground his teeth, his eyes dark and fierce with hate and malice. "It must have been Third Young Master Jun and his lot, that vile man with such a scheming heart. He even sent people to throw us off, making us think he would really come to trade."
"But don't they need our weapons? If our arms were seized by the authorities, where would he get any?" Yiren still couldn't believe it.
"Then tell me who else it could be besides them?" Ivanov raged.
Yet he knew all too well that he himself must not get caught. After all, he was a respectable figure in the international business world. Being arrested would be so embarrassing, and getting tangled up in the political problems of arms smuggling was a huge trouble.
