A few days after the recovery of the dead body and the ring at Rasak ranching, there as being an intense search for clues as small as it can be.
However, Iode and his colleagues were in the Green tower perimeter, it was in the evening, they were going to find a place to eat dinner.
"Guys, I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like a lot of eyes are on me, I can't shake the feeling that someone is always watching me". Iode said.
"Maybe you are just overthinking it, there's no way someone would be spying on you, you are the successor of Igor, the one who survived the belly of a Luwesuchus for more than a week, stop being paranoid". Melissa said to him.
"Babysitting an adult is a pain". Maythan muttered, however Melissa and Iode heard him, they both gave him an awkward look, but Melissa glared at him which made Maythan look away.
After the incident that occured in Rasak ranching, captain Harold tasked Melissa and Maythan to watch over Iode at all times, even when he is sleeping or in the bathroom, they must be aware of what he was doing.
They went to a traven to get food for dinner. They all sat round a table near a window. However, they noticed Iode kept looking outside and he seems out of it, he stared outside even when his food was brought to him.
"Iode! Iode!" Melissa called him.
"Hmm, what is it Melissa". Iode responded.
"The food has been brought to you over five minutes, you kept looking outside ". Melissa said.
"I was? My bad ". Iode said.
"You been doing this ever since we returned from Rasak ranching, always lost in thought and staring at a particular direction... Dude, you need help ". Maythan said.
"That's rich coming from someone who finds people to be a pain in the arse". Iode replied.
"At least I'm not acting weird ". Maythan responded.
"Enough you two!!! We came to dinner not quarrel, babysitting adults really is a pain ". Melissa said.
"What?! Say that again". Maythan flared up.
"That's right, you are a pain to be with ". Melissa responded.
"You too know well that I'll never walk with any of you, if not for the command the captain gave us, everyone is a pain, especially you Melissa, you are the worst of the worst". Maythan replied.
"You are just an antisocial creep..." As Melissa was saying she noticed something was wrong.
"!!!"
"Maythan, where's Iode? ". She asked.
"Eh!" Maythan was stunned.
"We lost sight of him, it your fault Maythan ". Melissa panicked.
"Why are you shifting the blame to me you are the one who started it ". Maythan yelled at her.
"Seriously?".
"We don't have time, lets look for him ". Maythan said.
Both of them got out of the traven and began looking for Iode.
"He always looks at the direction, towards the east, he just left the traven, we still have chance to catch up ". Maythan said as he kept running together with Melissa.
After running for a while, the sky was getting dark and visibility was getting low, they were finding it difficult to see people to identify. However, Melissa spotted someone that resembles Iode.
"I think I found him". Melissa said as they both raced to the person.
"Iode!!!". Melissa called out and held his hand.
"Iode, where are you going, the academy is the other way". Melissa said holding his hand, however, her words fell on deaf ears, Iode kept a straight face and kept walking towards a direction.
"I don't think you can talk him out of this, we need to bring him back with force". Maythan said.
"But, there's a lot of people here, we can't use magic here". Melissa said.
"You have another opinion, please share".
Melissa clicked her tongue. " Fine".
"Flower magic: engender of slumber"
A pink flower magically appeared and dispersed large quantity of pink dust into the surrounding area.
Iode, who was walking mindlessly, slowed down and fell asleep. Maythan caught him in his hands.
"Phew, that was easy". Maythan said, however he spoke too soon.
"Chains of burden!". Iode said in his sleep.
Large purple chains with large ball weights appeared from the ground and tied up the two.
"What the, wasn't he asleep?". Maythan said stunned. Both of them were tightly tied and the more they struggle to move, the more ball weights was added.
"He is asleep, anyone afflicted with my spell would sleep, I don't understand how he is still able to move". Melissa said perplexed.
Iode got away from Maythan's grip and began walking with his eyes closed.
"Don't tell me he has been asleep even before I cast my spell on him". Melissa said.
"He is under hypnosis". Maythan said.
Iode kept walking until he got away from their range of sight...
