The Police Station
The air inside the station was thick with tension as officers moved briskly from one desk to another, papers rustling, phones ringing. Chief Inspector Dennis sat at his desk, his broad shoulders hunched forward, his fingers drumming impatiently against the floor.
His dark blue uniform, decorated with badges of service, looked stiff and well-pressed, but his tired eyes betrayed the long hours he had put in.
A junior officer, dressed in standard police gear, rushed in, his boots clicking sharply against the tiled floor. His breath was uneven, and his fingers twitched as he held up a small black evidence bag.
"Sir," the officer spoke, his voice urgent. "Another video came through from Stridha."
Dennis' sharp brown eyes snapped up, his jaw tightening. His lips curled slightly downward, a mixture of frustration and dread flashing across his rugged features.
