It was inevitable to encounter creatures like the big, dumb beasts on the way. However, these creatures had incredibly fast and formidable defenses, making them difficult to deal with. To escape, merchants had no choice but to "burn their boats" and test the waters, so to speak, starting from the first banana they threw at the big dumb beasts, a habit was destined to form.
