"Amanda," Donald Johnson came over and, upon seeing Amanda Smith, asked in surprise, "Did you have a fight with Samuel?"
"No."
"Then what's with that guy? He looks like he swallowed a bomb."
"…I don't know."
How could Amanda Smith admit that Samuel Johnson had run off angry because she had refused to sleep with him?
Saying it out loud would be so embarrassing!
That guy was already so old, yet still so quick to lose his temper—it was like he was regressing.
Amanda Smith sighed inwardly and forced a gentle smile. "It's getting late, I'm going to bed."
Donald Johnson nodded, watched Amanda Smith enter the house, and stood by the door scratching his chin, utterly clueless about what was wrong with his son.
From the look on Amanda Smith's face, it didn't seem like they'd argued, right?
The next morning, Samuel Johnson came downstairs looking awful. Mrs. Johnson was shocked to see her son's gloomy face and looked helplessly towards her husband.
