"He's like you, enjoys reading books..." Ivana Bennett gestured towards the books on the shelf with her chin. "See? Many of these books are the same editions as yours."
Both men were military personnel, and both were Air Force generals, making them colleagues in the same field; many of the professional books were the same.
Noticing a book on the shelf, Lucas Walker casually pulled it out.
"Sit down and read." Ivana brought a chair over for him. "I'll go downstairs and get you some tea."
"I'll go."
Ivana laughed and pressed him down into the chair, "You sit, I'll go!"
"Then be careful."
"Got it."
Ivana grinned as she went downstairs. Lucas shuffled through the book briefly before returning it to the shelf. He then noticed several thick folders and, puzzled, took one down to see what sort of reference book it was.
As he flipped through, he couldn't help but be startled—all of them were newspaper clippings, and all the clippings were about the Duchess.
