Old Madam Lees glared fiercely at Michael Lees, then walked over to Isabella Harrison with her cane, affectionately tucking her hand into her arms.
"Granddaughter-in-law, don't be scared, with Grandma here, I'd like to see who dares to bully you!"
Isabella Harrison still hadn't completely recovered and looked up at Michael Lees to see him standing there with a dark expression, not responding.
She naturally recognized this elderly lady, Michael's grandma; she had visited him during the holidays when she was in school and had met her at his house.
"Grandma, I'm not..."
"Don't be scared, child. You're carrying a baby now; that means everything. Grandma liked you from the first time she saw you, and you like Michael, Michael likes you too! Now that there's a child, isn't that wonderful? Let's go home and discuss the wedding!"

Watching Old Madam Lees, Arabella Vanderbilt grinned, thinking to herself, are the old folks nowadays all this adorable?
