"Giselle..." Kevin Cliff pushed Giselle's hand away and spoke dispassionately.
Charlotte Green smiled expectantly, wondering what he would say. Would he go along with Giselle's wishes to comfort her, or would it be a dramatic claim that it was just an accident?
Kevin glanced at the woman eagerly awaiting the drama and said to Giselle, "I am pursuing her."
Charlotte's smile froze instantly. What did he just say?
Giselle seemed not to understand either. "Brother Ryan, what did you just say? That's not true, right?"
Kevin turned his gaze to the shocked Charlotte and repeated firmly, "Yes, I am pursuing her!"
"No! I don't believe it! That's impossible! Brother Ryan, what on earth do you see in that kind of woman! Is it just because she has an Eastern face?" Giselle roared, deeply hurt, her eyes as if she wanted to devour Charlotte.
It took Charlotte a good while to come back to her senses. She steadied her heart and said, "You've heard it now. Can you leave?"
