Baron Lawrence took out his cell phone, glanced at it, and his brows instantly furrowed.
The smile that had just begun to lift the corners of Enna Clark's mouth slowly faded away. Unable to help herself, she turned and asked, "Baron Lawrence, who's calling? Is there something wrong?"
She paused, then added softly, "If you're busy with something, we can always shop another time. You go ahead with your business."
It seemed like every date they had ended up this way.
Enna Clark was at a loss.
Baron Lawrence glanced at the Caller ID, which showed Nicholas Lawrence's name, then suddenly reached out, hung up the call, and turned off his phone before slipping it back into his pocket. He grabbed the young woman's hand, "There's nothing now, let's go."
