Skye Lawrence instinctively used her hand to block the incoming light.
A chauffeur-looking man had already jogged over to her side, bowed his head, and murmured softly, "First Young Lady, President Lawrence has been waiting for you in the car for a long time."

Skye clenched the hand by her side and tried to remain calm, saying, "I know."
With that, she walked towards the Lincoln Stretch Limousine.
The chauffeur hurried in front of her to open the car door first.
As soon as the car door opened, Skye saw the man sitting on the sofa inside. He was holding some documents and did not lift his head. His rough but handsome profile was as cold as ice, and anyone could feel the chilly atmosphere in the car.
"Dad," called Skye.
But the man looking over the documents gave no response, as if he didn't hear her at all, and simply turned another page of the document in his hands.
