Just as she finished chopping the green onions, the hotel staff delivered fresh tomatoes and eggs to her.
She didn't know where they found tomatoes that late at night, bright red and plump, obviously chosen with care.
"Ms. Clark, is this enough? If not, we can immediately prepare more. Or, if you need anything else, just let us know, and we'll get it right away."
"It's enough, I'm just making Tomato and Egg Noodles."
Enna Clark took the bag from her, smiling faintly.
"Thank you."
The staff member was flattered and quickly responded, "No need to thank me, it's my duty."
She hesitated, then added, "Ms. Clark, do you need help? I've assisted in the kitchen before, I can handle simple tasks."
Enna Clark thanked her for the offer, "I can manage on my own, it's very late, you should go rest."
"…Alright."
She had only exchanged a few words with the staff member when a commotion started outside, "Enna Clark, what are you dawdling for? Hurry up."
