Mandel Thompson took out his phone and snapped a photo of the banquet scene to send to Isla Astir.
"Miss Astir, hello. I'm currently chatting with high school classmates."
"Male, married."
"I just ran into Jean Beckman and another female classmate from high school, Felicity Henington, and we chatted for a bit."
"Everything is normal right now, so please don't overthink, Miss Astir."
"If I don't respond to WhatsApp immediately, please don't be angry, something else might have held me up."
A moment later, Mandel Thompson sent a video to Isla Astir.
Seeing Mandel take out his phone, Jean Beckman frowned subtly.
