Chapter 313 - Aftermath

For the briefest moment my bonds with my pokemon manifested as the ability activated. Immediately after that the battle shifted into my sides favor and not by a small amount as if I wasn't mistaken in this brief instance of boosting they all reached champion level in strength. In Gaia and Tanks case they went even further beyond the start of that level. "What is this!? What have you done!?" Saturn screamed in horror as my pokemon started ripping apart the opposing forces. Champion levels of strength were qualitatively superior to the elite level below it and so the number of weaker pokemon needed to bog them down increased dramatically.-

Unfortunately for the Galactic forces what they had was not enough now that my pokemon had reached this level even if only temporarily. Tank and Rune caused blood and flesh to rain from the sky as they killed the enemies in the sky. Hades ripped out eyes, tore off flesh and crushed bones with a mad gleeful cackle. Vulcan bathed whole areas of the temple and mountain side in fire and lava. Gaia wielded sand and stone as her mighty weapons as her targets faces grinding waves of sand and the immense pressure of boulders raining down upon them and the very stone they stood upon trying to crush them.-

Yani bound pokemon and people in place with her plants while Cratos used all of his known attacks on whoever was left while opportunistically poking those he could with his tail. The toxin there caused agony as the flesh of that area rapidly rotted and necrotized as the toxin spread. The boost didn't last long as my vision blurred as I got dangerously close to exhausting my energy, maybe a couple of seconds. It was enough though as in that time the Galactic forced were reduced to nearly a quarter of what they had originally with the strongest combatants already dead.-

As darkness threatened to claim my mind my pokemon finished the battle and I could finally relax. I ignored the blood and gore on and around me as I passed out on the spot. My pokemon fared little better as they also succumbed to exhaustion though Gaia, Vulcan and Yani still stubbornly remained awake to treat injuries and keep those resting safe. My body was not used to my new level of power at all so using Boost like that wrecked it as muscles tore, bones cracked and my skin split in places.-

Yani helped herself to my potions and pastes for healing and liberally applied them to myself as well as the others minus Hades who was just exhausted from energy consumption but not really injured. You couldn't really harm a pokemon like Hades without damaging it's keystone as the "damage" done to it's smoky form only caused it's energy to deplete. Once the depletion reached a certain point it was forced back into it's keystone or "knocked out". That was where Hades was at the moment and was recovering it's energy from within it's keystone.-

I ended up waking up nearly an entire day later and can tell you for a fact I felt... off. Not wrong exactly but certainly not my usual self at all. I pulled up my status and was surprised by what I saw.

(A/N: I simplified it to show what was important.)

To be specific I was referring to my aura stat that had hit four digits which if I was interpreting this right was the bare minimum for me to have divinity.-

I would need to be an idiot not to understand how this happened though I was admittedly surprised that the ceiling for divinity was so low. To explain it simply each time I had pushed my aura to it's limit and then beyond that point it had "evolved" or "ascended" to a higher state. My previous "evolution" in this regard had given me an aura that was qualitatively similar to a normal pokemons. Giratina had effectively forced my aura into it's next "evolution" which was apparently when divinity formed setting my aura on the same level as a legendary, the minor ones at least like Hades, Vulcan and I suppose Gaia.-

Honestly speaking I had assumed I would need at least one more aura "evolution" to achieve this result but I certainly can't say I am unhappy with this. There was one slight issue however that bothered me, I had no idea what domain I had. Gaia had deserts, Vulcan volcanos and Hades death but I had no idea what if any I could be considered to hold dominion over. The system was also unsurprisingly unhelpful in this regard as it merely stated what stage my divinity was at.-

'I'm going to have to ask a legendary aren't I?' I thought with a sigh as I felt the small changes my body was undergoing as the dense energy from my divinity flowed beneath and through my skin. It itched a little like I was healing a wound but not just in the places that exact thing was going on. It wasn't overwhelming or anything but slightly annoying if nothing else. If I had one real gripe it would be that my actual energy reserves are now back to being pathetically small.-

As the stage of my divinity was at the absolute lowest point it could be most of my energy was tied up in stabilizing that since the advancement was sort of rushed and I needed time to "digest" the change. Thanks to this I was left with mere dregs of my energies that frankly speaking I couldn't even use due to them damaging my body that wasn't adapted to it. I pulled up my Poketch and sent a message to the good professor that the job was done and we needed a cleanup crew here at the mountains peak.-

The place looked like a hellscape with viscera and blood everywhere along with scorch marks, stained sand and crumbled boulders. Oddly however the stones that made up the temple were completely unaffected and with some cleaning would look just as they did when I first arrived here. I wasn't sure if this was something one of the lords who had been here did or not but I suppose that didn't really matter.
