I sighed as we finished stabilizing Bosenmori's angelic core. The soft hum of the mana resonated through the air, a comforting sound that signaled we had successfully contained the surge. I could feel the weight of exhaustion pulling at my limbs, but I tried not to show it. No point in worrying anyone else.
Rosemary leaned against my shoulder, letting out a soft sigh of relief. "We did it," she murmured, her voice warm and reassuring. I could feel the tension in her body start to ease as she relaxed against me.
"Yeah, we did," I replied, forcing a smile even though my eyes felt heavy. I wanted to rest, but there was still so much to do. I glanced around the workshop, taking in the scattered tools and remnants of our frantic work.
Just then, Gael fell to his knees, a wide grin stretching across his face. "Yes! We actually did it!" he shouted, laughter bubbling up as he threw his arms in the air like a kid celebrating a victory.
